Could be all BS |

That Viper driver was snoozing in that car... short shifting... he blew it. Not saying the S isn't quick... but if you watch the next one with a '14 vette z51 the tesla was only .02 in front. I drive a z51 often... It's just not capable of what a Gen III Viper is. I used to pop mustangs light to light in my lexus 400h... it had 2 electric engines front and back... Along with the gas engine that thing would jump off the line. funny thing about those 'Stang drivers... after 2 lights they always turned... LMAO |

Right K,,,,the Viper driver was asleep at the line,,came off the green light with little acceleration. Must have been a rookie.. Changing thoughts,,,,here is a new dog breed maybe you should look into raising, being the entrepreneur that you are: This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 02-01-2014 at 07:13 AM |

These rodents seem to multiply like illegal aliens,,,, in California, lol. Groundhogs can also be dealt with through deadly means. The easiest of these is with poison. Poisonous pellets can be bought at nearly any hardware store. When applying these, sprinkle the directed amount into the burrow at the entrance. Another way to do this is by digging a small hole through the earth above a burrow and pouring the poison in through there. The hole should be covered again in the latter method. With any luck, the groundhogs should consume the poison and die. Any corpses found can be buried or otherwise responsibly disposed of. Shoveling soil into the groundhog’s burrow, essentially converting it to a tomb, can solve the rotting smell. I'd mix some D-Con into tomatoes,,,, a feast for your un-invited guests... |

We are looking at the gopher blasters... mix of oxygen and propane + ignition source= dead gophers... It collapses the tunnels too which is really important so new ones dont move in... might have to do our own video for youtube... LMAO |

If they are gophers, .22 rifle with a scope as they come out of their burrow. Otherwise they stink in the ground plus they carry bubonic plague in some areas. I hate killing anything but have had to help clean up a friends acreage. No choice. Poison kills anything including the scavengers that may feed on the dead rodents. Just my experience. |

Sounds like a plan anyway......nasty bastards they are. Maybe drop a colony of ants into the holes after they are dead,,to feast on those stinking carcasses.. =========================================================== RPL,,never thought about your experience and possible outcome...Might be something to consider. Kala has lots of animals,,,its more like the Ojai Zoo, and she sure wouldn't want to endanger her own critters... If she doesn't do something soon,,,,her property will have sinkholes or fault lines forming,,and loss of property value Gov. Brown needs her property taxes to remain high,,,,but right now he is doing 'rain dances' with the Indian medicine man! This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 02-02-2014 at 12:08 PM |

HI Bob! Good to see ya! Hey Vipers are gonna have an event near you this summer. Hopefully you guys can come out to play... As soon as I have more details I'll email... or Randall will... =================================== This is California, we can't use a 22... we do have 1200 fps pellet rifles... the issue is we have more gophers than we can deal with... the dogs are getting injured legs just moving around on the property... Its reached a critical point on this property... The gophers have already killed fruit trees that are 5 years old and about 10' tall... We are outnumbered. Poision wont work because of the other animals here. AND personally I have an issue with killing something slow with poision... shooting would be fastest. But we can't shoot them fast enough... with spring around the corner we are gonna have 5x the population when the all start breeding. leaving the gophers won't work because its hella dangerous to walk off any concrete path... So now we are getting one of these. looks like its a fast kill... no poision... hopefully for $1600 it actually works. |

D-Con planted in the tomatoes......not a slow death. Their heart will beat so fast, it will explode within a matter of seconds. You have to value your dogs, the fruit trees, and the aggravation caused. Its you or them! Fair and balanced >>> you decide? |

it must be that we get a watered down version of dcon here or it tastes really bad... cause they don't eat it... |

Go buy the strongest pellet guns you can find. Invite a couple of friends. Get some rubber gloves and heavy duty trash bags and set aside a few days about a week apart and cut down the population. My friend had the same problem. A couple of hundred later the problem was cut down to size. The guns, pellets, bags and gloves will cost a lot less. If it doesn't work you can always go to plan B. You just have to get a little closer with the pellet guns. One day a friend and I cleared over 150. At least they didn't suffer. Try to get them before you have to deal with the young. |

The pellet guns did work. These pocket gophers dont stick their heads out of the hole often... If it were ground squirrels we would have already popped them... But these little guys rarely come out. In the spring its a little easier to shott them since they are moving about to mate. This year we want to try getting them before they can get out to mate... LOL It seems our issue is that on 4 acres with the tunnels in tact, the next group just moves over to the newly evacuated tunnels. They just keep coming. I know it sounds crazy |
