Interference in a For Sale thread If you post a criticism of the price or the quality of the item being offered, you are being rude to the posting seller. If you post your own "for sale items" to the for sale thread started by someone else, you also are being inconsiderate to the OP. Start your own thread, rather than jumping into the thread of someone else. If your contribution to a for sale thread does not advance the sale, you are in the way. Thanks for your understanding This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 11-16-2015 at 08:36 AM |

Little Tommy SNOman as a young boy: Up for sale is a super nice, Plymouth Prowler Varsity Jacket, wool and Leather sleeves and trim. This is size M and was made by Golden Bear in the USA. The sleeves and rim of pockets are leather. The front is wool with the Prowler logo and Kat. And the back is wool with logo Kat and Plymouth Prowler on it. The inside liner is cotton/ very soft, warm, and comfortable. I have only worn this once a year while attending B-J Scottsdale car show, and it is in perfect condition. The waistband is flexible and the jacket has two outside pockets and one on the inside. The sizing runs somewhat smaller then a regular M size. This is a rare jacket so don't miss out. New $239 + ship This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 01-10-2016 at 11:21 AM |

A woman called a local hospital. "Hello! Could you connect me to the person who gives information about patients. I'd like to find out if a patient is getting better, doing as expected, or getting worse." The voice on the other end said, "What is the patient's name and room number?" "Sarah Finkel, in room 302." "I'll connect you with the nursing station." "3-A Nursing Station! How can I help you?" "I'd like to know the condition of Sarah Finkel in room 302." "Just a moment please! Let me look at her records. Mrs. Finkel is doing very well. In fact, she's had two full meals and her blood pressure is fine. She will be taken off the heart monitor in a couple of hours and, if she continues this improvement, Dr. Cohen is going to send her home Tuesday at noon. The woman said, "What a relief! Oh, that's fantastic... that's wonderful news!" The nurse said, "From your enthusiasm, I take it you are a close family member or a very close friend!" "Neither! I'm Sarah Finkel in 302! Nobody here tells me **** ." |

A West Texas cowboy was herding his herd in a remote pasture when suddenly a brand-new BMW advanced out of a dust cloud towards him. The driver, a young man in a Brioni suit, Gucci shoes, Ray Ban sunglasses and YSL tie, leans out the window and asks the cowboy, "If I tell you exactly how many cows and calves you have in your herd, will you give me a calf?" The cowboy looks at the man, obviously a yuppie, then looks at his peacefully grazing herd and calmly answers, "Sure, why not?" The yuppie parks his car, whips out his Dell notebook computer, connects it to his AT&T cell phone, and surfs to a NASA page on the Internet, where he calls up a GPS satellite navigation system to get an exact fix on his location which he then feeds to another NASA satellite that scans the area in an ultra-high-resolution photo. The young man then opens the digital photo in Adobe Photoshop and exports it to an image processing facility in Hamburg, Germany. Finally, he prints out a full-color, 150-page report on his hi-tech, miniaturized HP LaserJet printer and finally turns to the cowboy and says, "You have exactly 1,586 cows and calves." "That's right. Well, I guess you can take one of my calves," says the cowboy. He watches the young man select one of the animals and looks on amused as the young man stuffs it into the trunk of his car. Then the cowboy says to the young man, "Hey, if I can tell you exactly what your business is, will you give me back my calf?" The young man thinks about it for a second and then says, "Okay, why not?"

The kids filed back into class Monday morning. They were very excited. Their weekend assignment was to sell something, then give a talk on productive salesmanship. Little Mary led off, "I sold girl scout cookies and I made $30," she said proudly, "my sales approach was to appeal to the customer's civil spirit and I credit that approach for my obvious success." "Very good," said the teacher. Little Sally was next, "I sold magazines," she said, "I made $45 and I explained to everyone that magazines would keep them abreast of current events." "Very good, Sally," said the teacher. Eventually, it was Little Johnny's turn. The teacher held her breath. Little Johnny walked to the front of the classroom and dumped a box full of cash on the teacher's desk. "$2,467," he said. "$2,467!" cried the teacher, "What in the world were you selling?" "Toothbrushes," said Little Johnny. "Toothbrushes?" echoed the teacher, "How could you possibly sell enough toothbrushes to make that much money?" "I found the busiest corner in town," said Little Johnny, "I set up a Dip & Chip stand. I gave everybody who walked by a sample. They all said the same thing. "Hey, this tastes like s**t!" Then I would say, " It is, wanna buy a toothbrush? |
