Kala, I try to help where help is needed. Some things like this I'm more passionate about.LOL I'm sure once the wife found out what I volunteered for, I would never be able to walk again, but some things are just worth it.

I am glad the guy was smart enough to get paid in advance. It would be a shame to do all that "work" and not get paid. I guess he would have to say he got screwed.

Sorry AC, that isn't the design that they are using... I spoke to the designer of the Volado Viper a few times... He sent the design to Dodge, but never heard anything from them.

Hopefully SRT has made something more awesome than the VV... It would be sad if it isn't...

On a side note the designer of the VV told me his prototype has self cleaning wheels! I hope SRT took a page from that play book!

Price seems a bit high to me. To my eye, it's been either a drag car or a street racer.

22k miles doesn't seem like much, but 1/4 mile at a time and its suddenly HUGE!

It's really interesting that its still pretty much stock. To go to the trouble installing the roll bar and the shift light? 5 points too!!! Then leave it stock? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me...

Has the front been repainted? the dealer says IT HAS GLOSS BLACK "EXHAUST PORT" PAINT ON EITHER SIDE I'd bet they repainted it... That would keep you from knowing how hard it has been tracked... Every time I tracked mine, there was always a new chip or scratch somewhere. If it's glossy smooth I'd ask about a repaint.

2003 had minor recalls, usually had to have the computer re-flashed... There were some that had valve issues that were fixed under warranty. Some kind of cooling issue. I ran the VIN and that particular car doesn't have any outstanding recalls. http://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/dodge/index.jsp?screenName=recall&country=us&emailUrl=goToEmailForm%28%27R%27%29

If it were me... at that price range, I'd go with a 2006 coupe. I had a vert and after seeing a bunch of smashed Vipers I'd rather have the protection that a coupe provides...

I'd check with your local Viper Club, they probably know something about the car. Gen III and Gen IV are the last of the real Vipers. Gen III is easier to mod the engine than a Gen IV. Although there are a couple of vendors working on a 800 hp kit for the Gen IVs...

Welcome to the dark side Geno

Hope I've helped you... rather than confuse you.

GT,,,,pretty much as Kala said.

That snake has had two owners,,,one in Monroe, Wi and one in Cedarburg, Wi,,,,so it is a local car, low miles for a '03.

Dealer probably has around $35K or so in it from a trade or direct purchase.......$37 or about should buy it,,give or take.

Seems to be a decent car. If you track down previous owner(s),,,I'd speak with them about the car also

Damn,,,that front license plate location is God awful

It's got the parts rack removable plate on it...
http://www.viperpartsrack.com/front-license-plate-bracket

Cat, it's always good to have your front plate in the trunk... I'm sure the detailer forgot to put it back on after waxing...
