GenoTex POA Site Supporter Prowler Junkie Personal ScrapBook From:Oakfield, WI, USA Registered: Mar 2002 Admin Use	posted 02-25-2011 02:06 PM On the way from Dallas to San Antonio yesterday, this is what the northbound side of I35 looked like... fortunately I was on the southboud side. 7 1/2 miles of STOPPED traffic... and we saw the 'problem' at the beginning.... 3 cop cars, blocking two lanes of traffic, while one towtruck loads up a minivan off the shoulder... To protect and serve? WHY block all traffic and stand there watching a towtruck winch up a minivan that is on the grass????? How about let's get that traffic moving? 3 1/2 miles back into the 'stopped traffic' behind them.. another scene, no doubt an 'effect' of the first... an 18 wheeler with his cab at 90 degrees from his load.... Here in Planet Cali, even a parked chippy can make traffic back up for miles. Add a fire truck and it makes for a Breaking News alert on all TV stations. Just crazy... Don't even get me started on the televised car chases...

If a DOA is involved,,figure 6 to 8 hours more for the CSI unit to pick up the glass. Eleanor and I are 'roadtripping' all over Texas... we've been down here since the first of the year and haven't spent more than 3/4 consecutive days in the same place... We just got back from (another) trip down to Padre Island (corpuschristi area) where we enjoyed a nice long weekend on a GulfOfMexico overlooking hotel. We're are having SUCH a blast not being in snowbound Wizzzzconsin. The Prowler is down here with us, albeit hidden in East Texas in a storage unit most of the time... Oh well... Soon it will be a regular part of the Texas roadscape ANother great 70s weekend, weatherwise.
