The dealer owner's son (a high school acquaintance of mine) was not asking for a "ridiculous" sales price to purchase the car. However, included with the sales price, the dealer owner asked for the opportunity to purchase two Chicago Bulls season tickets. In other words, circumventing the long waiting list of 10,000 people wanting to purchase season tickets. (Some guy named Michael Jordan was on the team at the time.) The only way that this ticket request was going to happen was for me to ask my Dad for his help, to place this owner's name at the front of the line. He did and I am forever grateful. Thanks DAD! I have had the car for the last seven years, and never completed the owner's registry. I finally found my religion and registered. Should have done so long ago!!!
