L/D ,,,, Yes, Ed repos cars/trucks/boats, mows yards,,,and cuts down trees in his spare time. That picture (of his trailer) is in front of Sandy's parents house.......Ed does their yard > no charge. Ed owns half the houses on his residential block (he's a slum lord) and mows all of those yards as well. Its his tree cutting down expertise that he is most proud of....its his passion: Monahan Tree Removal and Remodeling Company This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 09-03-2016 at 07:22 AM |

Ed most likely stole the motor home also. That is why he parks it behind his rental house across the street. He knows all the tricks. The Rental house is just a tax deduction, he doesn't even collect rent. This message has been edited by garysss on 09-03-2016 at 07:41 AM |

Gary,,,,, I'll bet the motorhome is a repo that Ed hasn't notified the lender that he has recovered yet.... He's on a month long vacation in it, and will return to lender when he is back in Cincy... He knows all the tricks! He probably has a license plate from his truck on it so that he isn't questioned.... This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 09-03-2016 at 08:22 AM |

About 6 or 8 years we repoed a nice motor home that was stored inside. We went to the auction and I was going to buy it but it got too high. About 2 months later the price of gas went through the roof so I was glad I didn't get it. I had a large walk behind mower and I cut Sandy's parents' grass when her dad was dying of cancer. That was his SEARS trailer. Her dad passed away and her mom has a service now for the lawn, which is pretty small. I do cut three 1/2 acre lots but I use a rider now. Too many low hanging branches with fruit trees, etc. I am too tall for the walk behind commercial kind. I need a zero turn soon. I am towing the m/c on a trailer. Somewhat of a pain putting it on and off but well worth the effort since that is only every 3 or 4 days. We stay in one spot for awhile to see the sights. I have to go sightsee now. |

Ely, NV. Pronounced E LEE not E lie, like we thought. We went to the Great Basin today. Waaaaay neater than I expected. I never heard of it until two days ago. It is a Nat. park. Very interesting but the smoke from all of the Cal. wildfires has caused quite a bit of air pollution. I decided we would go to Yosemite next but now I think not. We need to look at the news and weather a little more than we have been. We might head up to the Redwoods near Ore. but there is a fire up there, also. We are leaving here tomorrow but really don't know where, for sure. We were here two nights. M/C rides have been fabulous. Virtually no traffic and pretty smooth roads, no a lot of rain but we have been caught in a few short downpours. You are still off on the year and the model. Close but no cigar. Close LD. It is a '29 Model AA. There were tons of old cars in Ely, in a fenced in area and right out on the street without plates on them. We left there, headed west and north and went past the BURNING MAN location as it was letting out, 9 hours late. A 17 year old girl came up missing and they were searching cars looking for her. OMG what a conglamoration of vehicles. Lots of UHauls, all covered in white dust. Saw a lot of broken down old Winnebagos, etc. Some vans had 15 or 20 bikes on the roof. Sandy got a great shot of a guy pulling a trailer with 4 fiberglas birds laying on their backs, about 12 long each. I didn't get any good shots with my camera since I was driving the opposite direction of all of them. ALL were covered in white dust except where the windshield wipers cleared a path. Lots of crap. We even saw one of the old UHaul clam shell trailers. It cost $ 390 to get in and they had 70,000 people there. That is a lot of moolah. We are in Medford, OR now. We went to Crater Lake this afternoon. Awesome, also. We are having a blast. The other day when the computer was searching for a network, one of the options was the FBI SURVEILLANCE VAN. I am not making that up. I wonder if they were in the same RV park !!!! I wonder what was going on. LD, I only repo from about mid Nov. to early March. If it is golf weather, it is not working weather. I have been doing it for 14 years, I think. It is a lot of fun. I don't do the routine ones, only the difficult ones the drivers can't find or if it is someone "connected" or a cop or attorney or judge's son or someone we have gotten a couple of times previously. A lot of laughs. It is for entertainment, not for the $. Sandy retired so we might go to Fla for the winter and that means I won't be working much, if at all. We are going to hit the REDWOODs in the near future, but probably not for a few days. This area is spectacular and we might hang around for awhile. Great m/c roads. |
