Yes Gary, good winter project with all the cold we have been having. I have wanted to rehab this trailer for a couple years now but could not find the time,,, other projects kept getting in front of it. The trailer is a 74,, I bought it in 92 and rehabbed it then,,, have not done anything to it since except greese the wheel bearings. Sooooo, it is ready for another overhaul. Paint is almost done on the trailer,,, using Rustolium with a brush,, 2 coats. From experience spray does not last,,, lay it on with a brush and it will look good for years to come. Adding some 3/4" marker lights down the sides so that should look interesting. Ordered the lumber for the deck yesterday,,, guy in town mills wood to your specs,, need to wait till the weather gets a bit warmer so he can run the mill. Using 2" red oak,,, very hard and durable. Has to go on green so it will make the bend at the beaver tail at the rear. I will take some pics while installing.

This cold weather sucks,,, had a pipe freeze at rental last night,, got home at 3am. Going back today to patch the wall.

Agree on cold weather, it's hard on everything. If it's going to break, it will do it in the cold.

Wow, that is a lot of wood. What is that white stuff all over the top of it? Also, why would you need that much firewood, are you a dealer ?

Sorry for all these questions, but being from FLORIDA I just don't understand the needs of you northern folks. It's in the 20's here and we think that is cold.

Dano, we burn about 8 cord a year. The wood stove goes 24/7 now. Usually get up about 4am and stuff it again,, all set till the morning. Heats the house and my shop at the same time. Designed the house that way.

I am a Landscraper,,, all that wood was free. Actually I get paid to remove it.lol.

Frozen pipe update,,,, went back today and another one was frozen. WTH. Had this property 16 years and never a frozen pipe.
Heading back up tomorrow,,, what a friggin nightmare. Blizzard here Thursday and much colder temps behind it.

At least I finished painting the trailer this morning,,lol.

Off to bed now.

Just got back from my Mom's,,, got her settled for the storm. Looks like 12-15" here,,, winds could reach over 75mph. Generator and fuel ready. Lost power for 14 days a couple years back during a nasty ice storm. Stay safe my friends this could be a doosy.

Spent some time doing some wiring today. Also picked up the wheels with new tires, try to paint the wheels beginning of the week. Lumber might be milled on Tuesday.

Dave where you???

Jan 6 (Reuters) - One Powerball ticket purchased in New Hampshire matched all six numbers for Saturday's estimated $570 million jackpot drawing, the fifth largest grand prize in the game's 15-year history, lottery officials said.

The winning numbers drawn were 12, 29, 30, 33, 61 and Powerball 26.

The identity of the winner or winners was not immediately released.

If the winner selects the lump-sum option, the onetime payout would total an estimated $358 million, before taxes.

The odds of a single ticket hitting all six numbers in the Powerball are 292 million to 1, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association.

Saturday's winning Powerball ticket is the second large lottery grand prize drawn in as many days.

I wish Gary, if I did I would not be eating icecream,,, I would be trying caviar, although I think I would hate it.

If you win that kind of money you would no longer be NORMAL. But then again that would be OK for someone on the POA,,, we are not normal.

The axles on larger GVW trailers are further back for more stability,,, especially at higher speeds. Take a look at tractor trailers,,, the trailers axles are at the end,,, if they were closer to the middle,, the trailer would be all over the rosd.

Also small landscape trailers were the axles are closer to the middle are usually hauled by smaller trucks or vehicles that have limited GVW tongue weight.
