Sounds like a dry sump oil system where the oil is stored in a remote tank.

Aircraft and some race cars use this system.

Its on a Ford 450 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel. Parts failure made the oil disapear from the motor,,, I know sound weird,,, I was blown away at first but makes total sense after the fact. Pic in a bit. Outfitting a dump truck with a leave vac setup right now.

PS,,, Did you have the 17hr dump,,, just checking up on my paitent. LOL.

Yes he did. Did you see the picture after AC's big night? Well unfortunately his friend Mark was standing next to AC when AC erupted. Mark was completely covered with lava poop flow and is now a statue and encased in dried poopers.

Those are the injectors,,, the pile in the middle are the failed injector orings. The injectors are preasureized by the high pressure oil pump (hpop). Whatever fuel is not used by the injectors gets sent back to the fuel tank. When the orings fail, the oil mixes with the fuel and is sent into the fuel tank. So approx 20 quarts of oil are in the fuel tank. Mystery solved.

Hello all,

Had a very bad storm here in the Northeast last Sunday. Lots of power outages and trees down everywhere. Did not get much sleep this week. Anyway treating myself to Apple pie with vanilla bean icecream.

The pie and ice cream look terrible.... I hope the power outages and down trees continue to keep the L/D working many hours and with lack of sleep. He deserves nothing less!!
