Even though I have previously said if it's more than a days drive we won't be attending any events I would be interested in doing Texas again. Sounds like a good chance to see some friends we have not seen in much too long a time. And as a bonus we have family in Texas. Drag Racing and a visit to the Krehel Museum would be awesome. Just saying. This message has been edited by BeWare on 06-06-2019 at 02:01 PM |

Ed - I realize that any month may be bad timing for someone. Due to my work schedule we have had to miss a number of Prowler events. I figured the only way to make sure we can attend is to plan an event ourselves when we can attend! Of course if you want to plan our Texas event I may be able to be flexible in the timing! Actually, temperature wise April is a good month.....we have 90 degree and above temps consistantly from May - September with a out 45-60 days over 100....March is always rainy, I have to work out of town 22 days in October so pretty much April is the best time. I don't have a hotel contrarted yet...this thread is just to gauge interest. Most likely will start with Inn of the Hills in Kerrville, Texas.....could love in Fredericksburg or Boerne but the event will be headquartered somewhere in that area - about an hour North of San Antonio and about an hour West of Austin. You can calculate your driving time by adding an hour to either one of those cities. |

Marty, I realize the timing affects everyone in a diff. way. We are in Fla until April 1st and there is a lot to do when we first get back home. You can't please everyone, as I have found out numerous times. You have to go what works for you and not worry about a couple of folks who can't make it. |

All you need to do Ed is make a detailed list of what needs done and assign each of those kids and grandkids that you most likely spoil rotten their tasks. Now you can come to TX for the Prowler trip. When you get home, you may be surprised and someone may have actually done something on your list. Worst case, you have to do everything on your list. But at least you got to enjoy time with your Prowler buddies under the illusion that everything was being handled in your absence. |

You are starting to sound like Sandy and her twin sis. They kept telling me we did not need to come home on April 1. It took me until May 1 to get caught up. It is mostly the two rental houses across the street. We also will have just driven 1000 miles home in our luxurious motorhome, lol. |

I can haul a car down for you. Then you would only have to drive ~2400 miles in your motor home. FL to TX to OH! The plus is you get to rest for a few days in the middle of the trip. |
