We will be looking forward to hopefully seeing a bunch of old Prowler friends join us down here in Texas. I should be signing a hotel contract ober the weekend....of all things they are balking at supplying a hose for a car wash station for free....they want $200.....water conservation is big down here and they get charged for watwr run off...at least there is a self serve car was a couple of miles away. I hope to post an announcement in the Event Section by Sunday....want to actually confirm hotel first. Joe and I plan to discuss some of the cruise schedule by then also. |

Marty, I have noticed at the past few events that there is NO ONE getting up at 5 AM to wash their cars. In fact most of the folks don't wash them at all during the entire event. It may have something to do with age. I would think you would have 40-50 cars without a doubt and probably 75 or so. April is the worst month for us, for sure, BUT we still will attempt to figure something out and make it to the event. Hell, the road trip will be a blast in itself. |

Marty I knew you had done events so never meant to question your talents...and Joe is right sometimes there can be some lethargy in the houston ranks...lol...but after attending my 1st last year wife and I are definitely ready to help any way we can...and Ed I personally will wash yours ONCE if it tips the scales whether your coming or not...speaking of scales cant wait to see my buddy Tucson Jer on dance floor 80 lbs lighter....We are all in for some FUN....jim |

No offense taken and many people have planned successful Prowler events over the years. The absolute one main thing needed is for people to attend looking to have fun....after that it is all easy. Ed...I have never got up at 5 am at an event to see if anyone is washing their car. I have gone to bed about that time though! Oh, I have seen Rich Ware cleaning their kat at 11:30 PM at the hotel! |

Marty...wonder if Buddy would let us have about a half-day swapmeet at his shop?? But after thinking about it maybe we don't need to disclose that stock pile..... |

quote: Ed, you have to make it. Like Steve said early in the post, delegate some duties. If nothing else, you'll be 1-2 weeks behind on your honey do's. That's nothing for the super powers of CAPTAIN WEDGIE!!! LOL! Besides that, we'll talk about you behind your back if you're not there! |

Hey Ed, TucsonJer here. It’s like I told Mary Anne once when she gave me a honey do list... reminding me about it every six months isn’t going to help it get done any faster. 🤣 Also, when your car gets dirty, I’ll personally make sure that Jim does a good job getting it all cleaned up for ya. Heck, I’ll even give him a hand! ✋ See you in Texas. Jer |

Mark - good places. Have been to River City Grille several times after a day on Lake LBJ....will have to check out On The Rocks and the BBQ in Taylor. There is another BBQ place close to Taylor in Lexington that only serves on Saturday mornings until they run out..Snow's https://snowsbbq.com/

Lookin' good Marty. It should be a great event. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. And for those that want to come in a day so earlier, the Austin Lonestar Roundup is April 17th and 18th.

quote: Hmmmm- thought I relied to this earlier...must be early onset senility Jim..The driving safari, Natural Caverns and other area attractions may just be listed for options of things people could do if they want to venture out on their own. We do not plan for them to listed as places where the while group will go so I think we are on the same page there. The event agenda will certainly continue to be a work in progress. Right now there are so many options...too many actually....to try to work in. In past events there has always been a lot of good comments about having "free days", days where people can breakout in smaller groups for part or all of the day. There will be at least 2 long cruise days to "destination" attractions but they may not be on the most scenic of he roads around he area so we will want to give people some scenic crusie options on the other days. As always, comments....options......questions.....opinions are welcomed and encouraged. |

Snow’s is always ranked in the top up there with Franklin’s in Austin. Both have limited amounts of que so I have not been to either one. My luck they will be out when I get there! lol Can’t lose with Lockhart joints, smitty’s ,blacks, kreuz ( pronounced “kroits” being best suited for large crowds with excellent parking. Louie Mueller is known for their monster beef ribs but Cooper’s in New Braunfels or llano are almost as good. Sorry all this que talk has made me hungry! I gotta get my own brisket off the pit !! quote: |

Should mention this BECAUSE AFTER ALL THIS [BOLD]IS[/BOLD] TEXAS....NOTE THAT OPEN CARRY FIREARMS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON PROPERTY We are approved for alcohol in the parking lot for our evening get togethers of socializing and telling embellished stories as long as we do not get too loud and disturb others. We will have a roped off parking lot off the side of the hotel. It seemed to work out fine for the Cobra Club recently. |

forgot to post a couple of blank replies to fill event info. I will try to keep things current in the UPCOMING EVENTS SECTION Lots of details up in the air so timing and daily agenda are still works in progress but I will copy and past on first post here when it becomes a bit more solid. I have added names for those people that have confirmed they are planning to attend. There are a number of people that have posted they are interested and I did not want to ASSUME they really plan to attend. Let me know if once you decide to attend and I will add your names to the list....thanks |
