All reservations at the hotel are being reinstated for now. We will continue to monitor the Coronavirus situation and make a decision on Sunday March 29th to move forward with the April event dates or postpone until October. I personally would like to see the event happen but do not wish to put a number of us in the higher risk category in a position that may endanger us. Hopefully in the next 12 days we will have a clearer picture of where the spread of the virus is heading. In the meantime we will be contacting attractions, restaurants, and venues we plan to visit to see if they will be open OR if we can reschedule for October.

October 10-18 are possible Fall dates......the weather averages that time if year is about the same as April....highs in low 80's and lows in low 60's. September averages are in the 90's so we will work to avoid that. The Hotel will hold the October dates for us and if we postpone they will cancel all current reservations (but advise me first so I can let everyone know) and then open up a new room block for the new dates. YOU CAN NOT BOOK rooms for the possible new dates yet.

We are not sure what decisions will be made but are making contingency plans and aiming for MARCH 29TH DECISION DATE!
Name badges printing is being halted pending possible date change. T-shirts say 2020 so still OK on design. If we change the event dates and anyone wants to cancel their shirt order AT THAT TIME, we can send you a check for the order amount less the credit card processing fee....more details later IF the dates are changed.

TEXAS EVENT UPDATES WILL BE POSTED HERE

We know many people have questions about how this Coronavirus will impact the Lonestar Prowler Roundup 2020 scheduled for April 2020.
Realizing that many of us are in the high risk groups that are being advised to be cautious and stay home, we are monitoring the situation and plan to make a decision of the event by the end of next week.
* Currently in Texas local governments are closing all restaurants or only allowing take out/delivery. This would obviously have an impact on people attending.
* Federal guidelines ask gathering to be less than 10 people. Locally/statewide restrictions are no more than 50 or 100 people at a time. While we will all be in our own cars and are own hotel rooms and our our largest "gathering" would be eating out (if we could find a restaurant) or sitting together in the parking lot...we need to consider this in our decision to have the event, cancel or postpone.
*We are checking with Hemi Hideout to see if they even plan to be open - doubtful at this time, or at best they will not commit now.
*I have asked the host hotel to review the possibility of postponing the event until the Fall....Texas is just too hot in mid May - mid September. That said they are looking for availability of dates from Sept. 19-27, Oct 10-18, and Oct 17-25.
* Note that I checked with Larry Bell first as we did not want to have a Fall event if he was planning to host his Nursing Home National Event in Sept/Oct. Since they are in the process building a new house (think it is 2 bedrooms and 34 car garage ) there will NOT be NHN event this year.

Please check back next week for more details and we work through all the issues.
