Both of our motorhomes were/are gas, not diesel. I know this has come up before, Are all green handles diesel, and all diesels green handles? I think we have gas stations that have green handles on the gas side of it since green is their main color. I need to double check that since I don't ever use that brand of gas. It used to be Sohio, (Standard of Ohio). They changed the name and I can't think of what it is now. A diesel handle will fit in a Honda Goldwing tank. Nope, not me, but a friend of mine did it a long time ago. |

Yes all diesel dispense handle are all green,,, industry standard as I know of. Motorcycle filler caps are large and either will fit.

quote: I seem to think at one time there was a yellow handle also. I think for ultra low sulfer diesel. I know Mikey, so I'm old and could be wrong. At one time you could also buy kerosene at the pump, but it was usually at a different island. I have bought kerosene, but never bought diesel. |

But I can't take my cars with me. You better like each other a lot, because your room and the ship is going to feel pretty small after a few months. |

It would get very old quickly with me and not a very good healthy lifestyle to say the least.

1965 Iso Griffo Maybe it could be a 1967 after looking at the license plate. I recall seeing a silver one of these in the mid to late seventies and thinking it was a cool car. This message has been edited by alrtg on 07-31-2023 at 11:09 AM |

My Dad had one of these many years ago. There were about 325 of these produced. Any guesses? It had a Triumph TR3 running gear, a tubular space frame with de Dion tube rear suspension, fiberglass body. The taillights were the same as an Aston Martin There were two seven gallon gas tanks, one on each side housed under the rocker panels. The one my Dad had featured a fabric retractable sunroof that I have never seen on one of these since then. When Dad got the car, it came with two sets of bumpers, one set were chrome plated metal and the second set were fiberglass. The one in this photo appears to be LHD, the one Dad had was RHD. The seats were molded from fiberglass and upholstered. This message has been edited by alrtg on 07-31-2023 at 11:05 AM |

You are correct Andria,,, great info. Very unique cool car. The front end has similarities to a 68 camaro to me and a corvette engine to book. Here is the spec sheet. |

quote: Not on vehicles older than Mid 1970's it isn't. I find it kind of interesting that back when Unleaded Gasoline was introduced, a law or regulation was passed requiring any station that offered Leaded Gasoline to also offer Unleaded. In order to be equal....shouldn't the reverse be required? Maybe these days, they could require any station that sells fuels with Ethanol in them to also offer fuels without Ethanol. After all Ethanol is an "Additive" that the consumer should be able to choose to purchase or NOT. JMO My pre Mid 1970's vehicles would be much happier without the Ethanol, just like Lawn Mowers and more. |
