Being that I was in the Tool & Die field and enjoyed working with my hands, I started doing woodworking. I was able to setup a small shop in my outbuilding to have something to do in retirement. My first project turned out OK in my book, as I know where the flaws are. Started another table over this past winter that is still a work in progress. It is made out of Cherry, as I have plenty of it from my Father-in-laws property.

Thanks Alley Cat. That's what happens when one doesn't post in a LONG time. Also the Tung oil finish is on the completed project. The in progress is just Cherry wood with no finish yet. |

Nice shop too. I am envious. My problem is I do so many different things, one shop would not work, I am not a woodworker, but I did build this house. This message has been edited by padroo on 05-03-2024 at 11:29 PM |

I made a promise to my wife that I would work safely, so I bought a Sawstop Table saw. Check out this video of how it works, Thanks John and Landscape Doctor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTUOhYcw4ZY This message has been edited by Slick on 05-05-2024 at 08:04 AM |

Welcome back Tom. I don't post much anymore either but I do try to stay in touch through the website. Your woodwork looks great. I love the cherry table. I hope things are well for you. Larry |

I have seen it before, it has been out a few years, amazing how it works. It still had to be hard putting your finger in there the first time and most likely every time afterwards. |
