So I read Walter's story, when he was struck the first time, he was paralyzed from the waist down. He later was fishing and sitting under a tree and tree was struck and continued to him. 2 days later he was able to walk again. I think 6 years later , he was struck again and paralyzed from neck down. |

Antoine Dubuclet was born to free parents in 1810 and by the age of 24 he was the owner of a Sugar Plantation that by 1860 had became one of the largest in Louisiana. After the Civil War he was 3 times elected the State Treasurer, led La. out of bankruptcy and was selected into the State Hall of Fame. His Plantation is still operating today. |
