July 2001 in Dayton Ohio - Steve Gillaspy was the first POA member I met - before he had the M&L Delivery Hardtop on his black Prowler. Met Ed Monahan, Phil Genet, Larry & Sue Mayes, Andy Rapach and some others at the same car show. They talked me in to attending the Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise the next month. |

The first members I met were Steve and Ron Clark. I hooked up with them on the way to my first POA event in 2001 at Crazy Horse. The first one that I met online was Larry Lord and that was in late 1998 if memory serves. |

For me that would be MeanGene at the Burtonsville Day Car Show while I was still in Prowler Dream only mode. I remember there were a lot of nice cars there but the crowd was gathered around Gene's Kat. Got mine the following year. I was going to keep it totally stock but nooooo I ran into Gene again. He is a bad influence but still a great guy.  : That would have been in the fall of 2001 I believe. |

The 1st. POA members I met were Rod & Vicki. After I got my Kat, Rod e-mailed me & said lets meet & go cruisin. That's just what we did. Good people. |

Would have to be some straw hat parts whore from Burtonsville, MD. Can't remember his name though. I think the very first person I met thru the PPC days was Phil Horvath at the Goodguys event here in Cali back in 2000. From there I kept meeting more and more people as I attended all the events. Later... ------------------ |

It was Larry Lord. He stopped by our house on the long way back home from the First Woodward event. There was not even a POA at the time. |

Well...(from the straw hat parts whore) after what seemed to be a very long winter. I bought the Kat in Oct.2000, so I literally had about two - four weeks to ride it before the snow came. I posted my first event to meet at the Spring Carlisle in PA in April 2001. Three Kats showed and I thought it was wonderful...Niteman(Bill) and Lucy Stephens, Rebel Bob and Carol Silsby. I still remember that feeling...same at every event. |

The first person I met was also MeneGene, April 23rd, for Spring Fling XX. That night I also met, Bob Miller, Jeff and Betty Ann (Sirreal), Myron. The next day I met Joe and Sandy (BT161), Bill and Lucy (Niteman), and also Jim and Jane (TopKat), and last but not least.....Gary And Tammy (MDProwler) You always remember the first people you meet, and Im looking forward to seeing everyone again soon. |

The POA took off in 'life' at the end of June////first of July, 2000. I had already met Larry Lord and some of the California group during the 2000 HOT ROD POWER TOUR in May of 2000, during the Arizona segment. So, to be politically correct, the first POA member I got to meet after the website came on-line, would be Al & Patty Becker of Scottsdale. I registered on July 2, 2000,,,,and Al came on board the next day. I had to pull Al's arm to leave the corrupt PPC  NOT!MEMORIES |

The first Prowler owner I meet was Detective On The Prowl. The second Prowler owner was Y2KRedProwler. I meet two good local friends and many other friends by being a member of this great group. |

I corresponded with Wildcat as he sent me an email after seeing me register on the POA. Our first meeting was scheduled for the Louisville event (pictured above  : ) but we traveled there separately. So the first person I met was Rebecca Usher as she was organizing the Sat morning events. I knew then I was in with “good people”.Of course Dr. Prowler was the first guy to let me in his hotel room at an event … |

last year in beloit, wisconsin. jesse (reds 5) and ray and about 14 other prowler owners, i remember jesse and ray cause we always get together several times a year now. |

Ed has been using that sign for nearly 60 years,,,,,,Ed grew up as a lonely child,,,and even later in life he had to beg for friends. Time has caught up with Ed now,,,,we still need two more volunteers to carry him on that last trip in the box. Presently, TUIB, Andy, Richard J., and I are the only ones who have volunteered. Anyone else??? |

I didn't have to take this abuse on PPC (probably because I never joined). I think the first two I met were Randy & Arlene Hatfield and then Roger Freeman, in Laughlin NV. I don't think I had met Andy R here in Cincy yet. I met Andy after I had my bumpers painted and I think that was after The Grand Canyon trip. I don't know when Andy got his car but the guy at the body shop told me he bought one but he was not at his drive thru the first time I stopped. That was probably 2001. I think I met Lee & Sue Schaeffer as the next locals but met a bunch at the Grand Canyon, our first event and I guess the POA's first event. About 30 cars, I think. |
