December 14, 2002 @ 10:42am - Rich Radkat Diamond. How's that for a memory, Doc? Prior to that, I had talked to Fred Henkel over the phone. That was in August 2002. He was the 3rd one I met face to face. The above was my intro to the POA, after owning my 97 Prowler since new years eve 1997. It was a lonely 5 years.

Damn feeebs! You're still around? Stay in touch my friend.

That was a great trip for me.
I met so many of the owners on that trip and yes it was long before the POA. We cruised through Indiana with Phil Genet then Jim McDunn and I followed you back to your house after the event for some of Mom's BBQ Beef sandwiches.

I still remember that trip to the Conner Ave plant.
Larry Mayes ( I think), Dave Ridge, Larry Herder, Jim Kenney, Bob and CJ, Jerry Scholten and many more were at that PPC event.
After I left your place, I visited Rich Ware in Atlanta at JT's request to see if he would be interested in being a State director for the PPC. After leaving Rich and Linda's house I went to Laddie and Karens house for an overnight stay and the beniets(sp) in New Orleans with Laddie and Karen the next morning. After an aligator lunch at Spaars, I was on my way back west. If I had known Pauley and David Nazem at that time I would have spent a day at each of their houses.
It was on this trip to Detroit that I discovered the Black Hills of South Dakota and vowed to plan an event there someday. Crazy Horse Tour 2001 was the result of that trip.

Good times indeed. I miss them.

Here's more,,,,

I love reading those "old" threads. It brings back some great memories. Time is flying and some folks still brag about their low mileage Prowlers. That is good for us folks who drive them. There will be replacements for quite awhile at reasonable prices. Bad news for the investors lurking in the shadows. The stock market is doing great and your car is sitting forlornly in the garage. Get out and meet the folks from all over the country and live it up.
The Grand Canyon trip was a life changer for us, for sure. L L did a bang up job and we had a blast (except for the trip home on a m/c in horrible weather). Should have taken the Prowler but I was still saving it at that time.

it was the lawndog ... I was coming out of a strip mall he went past me and turned Left through a traffic light and I had to go through the "red" light to catch up to him.
Pulled up beside him and it scared him as I was going real fast , slowed down and said "Nice car" He has since become my best friend in Colorado a first class guy and fun to hang with too

First POA members I met were CJ and Bob Longstreth and that was a very pleasant meeting.
I got exceptional support from both of them. Great people!!

Best,

Bob Goetz (Real Rod) during our first POA event - Woodward 2004, when we parked next to him at the hotel. An extremely nice guy.

Ed M & Marty Usher at a shopping center parking lot show in the Cincinnati area...

Ed didn't want to park next to me because I was missing a front hub cover because the tabs broke - I didn't know about the hot glue fix at the time...

I want another Prowler so bad....

I meet Marc Scarbeary in his "Darth Vader" purple Prowler at "Johnny's Diner" annual show and shine which had over 700 cars at it. in July of 2000. Told myself I would get one of those and the very next year I saw an Orange one and said that's it and starting looking for one. By the end of the summer of 2001 I had located one in Texas and bought it. Wahooo...............

The first Prowler owner and POA member I met was Kala in late 2005. A great gal selling a 2002 Candy. Shoulda bought it. That was while I was on my quest to buy a car. After my purchase of a 2001 Orange, the first POA member and Prowler owner I met was Jim Bell in February-ish of 2006. A great guy to know especially for us here in SoCal.

Scott Curtis in late 2000 at Good Guys about the time I bought my first Cat a 99 Black. Before I sent my $20.00 to PPC. After I did that in 01 I later got a password I think from POA. Was about the time PPC passed on.

February 2005. Curtis, aka Blockbuster was on his victory tour. I had only had my silver for 5 weeks, 2 days, 7 hours and 22 minutes, but, who's counting anyway. I met Curtis, Jim.. GotTwo (Gave me my first Prowler collectible & started an addiction), Ken Fischer .. KFischer (Tami was at No Problem Raceway setting the record of "The Worlds Fastest Stock Prowler", and Dave.. Super-What's his name & his son Travis. This was the beginning of some great friendships.

This is very interesting link about Curtis' Victory Tour. What a first class guy.

Geez......you expect me to remember that far back???

Whoever was at the Conner Plant with PPC.......
Carol Schultz who I partnered with for Dream Cruises early on.
Our first big event was the Grand Canyon event and all the owners who attended.

We've met a lot of owners over the years with the club(s) and have made a lot of friends. There are lots of "old" friends and lots of "new" friends and I hope there will be lots more in the future!

It was Mr. Larry Lord. He sold me the Wonder Bar and that is the best investment I have made to my Prowler.

You saved my day,,,,I owe you a beer and lunch [I'm only joking, I'll never pay him, lol]
