Marty & Rebecca Usher, and they are just GREAT. Met them in Kentucky at the Hotel at check-in. It was two weeks after meeting Helga and it was our first blast with the group and is one we will not forget. Thanks for everything... Steve & Helga This message has been edited by Steven R. I am thinking Sno ought to be banned for life for bringing A/C back to the pack. He would still be out in the hinterlands driving in circles or squares if Sno hadn't saved him with his Avis car rental map. I would bet Sno has had second thoughts for a couple of years now. lol |

The last post was over 10 years ago. There have been a lot of folks who bought and a lot of folks who sold a Prowler since then. Quite a few have passed on, sadly, also. I stumbled on this looking for something totally unrelated. Don't you love how my mind works, lol. |

Lots of members have come and gone, don't remember how many until you see some of the old threads. Sooner or later we will all be in that group, there is no getting around it. |

That's a tough question after all of these years. Our first POA event was Larry Lord's Grand Canyon/Route 66 event back in 2000. Beyond Larry Lord, we met Ed Monahan (on his motorcycle) and Mike Gatlin then from the Flint, MI area plus a number of people that are still around. Paulie Hines comes to mind sitting in a lawn chair in front of the hotel with his wrapped Prowler. At the 20th anniversary event, Ed Monahan mentioned how many Prowler events that they had been to. I think that he wins on this one. |

The first POA member I met in person would be my Dad (JeraneW). My first POA related event and my first trip over ten miles with my Prowler was the ECP weekend outing in Ocean City Maryland http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum5/HTML/001341.html on April 3rd & 4th 2009 where Everyone got Lei'd. I was able to meet, in person several of the ECP members who immediately accepted and welcomed me into their group and made me feel comfortable. SirReal (Jeff) went out of his way to make me feel a part of the group and I will always be thankful for that. Since then I have been able to meet so many wonderful folks either online or in person at several events that I otherwise never would have. It has been said before that it is the people associated with the car that make the experience a great one. Even those that have moved on and sold their cars remain a part of the group. My thanks to Mike and Judy for making this site possible and all the members that make it enjoyable. |

First POA member I met (and for that matter the first person I met with a prowler other than mine) was George Johnson at a local car show in October 2009. I just happened to go on a whim. George's was all decked out, many great accessories. He really encouraged me to join the POA and glad I did. Wish I had done it in 2000 when I bought mine. I missed a lot of events. But I will always be thankful to George for introducing me to accessories, encouragement, and the pleasure of other owners. |

I had been following the action on the POA before I found my prowler. After my first post, CJ contacted me and invited me to meet her and Bob. I had a wonderful evening listening to all the stories of fun they had over the years. I then met TucsonJer and Mary Ann in, of course, Tucson. And then many more at the 20th anniversary event. |

The 1st person would be who else than Ed and Sandy. They welcomed us to the POA family with the upmost kindness and ever since then I have meet some of the best people ever.. Meet meaning on POA like Robin, Terry, Buddy, Mac, and I could go on and on. Purchasing a Prowler and being welcomed into the POA family is one of the best highlights of my life. As I get older I tend to appreciate and admire different things in life. This site and its followers are a huge part of my life. To all those who make it possible and those who help us new guys a big THANKS. This message has been edited by maugur on 02-02-2018 at 08:09 PM |

This thread is almost 15 years old but still fun to read. We have lost a ton of friends over the years but we still have the memories from all those events. Some of the newer folks might want to jump in. Who did you meet first and why did you buy your Prowler? |

Larry Lord. He stopped by when he was passing through town after he bought a motorhome in Miami, I believe. He had charging problems with one of the batteries and I had to give him a set of jumper cables to make it back home. Real nice dude... |
