Anyone know which K&N air filter will fit the standard 2000 Prowler air cleaner? The part number listed on the Prowler Parts Index, 33-2087, doesn't appear to be made anymore. |

I am going to GUESS that maybe K&N has discontinued Air Filters for the Prowler. Any given Manufacturer's bottom line is usually dictated by profit. At some point the demand for any one of their products may diminish to the point where it is no longer profitable to continue manufacturing it, the simply wait until on hand inventory is gone before they officially discontinue it. My GUESS it that is what has happened to the part number in question. I also doubt that K&N would have ever produced an air filter specifically for the Prowler due to the low production volume for the cars to begin with. Fortunately for Prowler owners, my GUESS is that the Prowler shared the same filter as another product with higher production numbers, like their Mini Vans from that time period. Now that those vehicles are older, the demand for filters has likely decreased to the point that continued production is no longer profitable. My Suggestion would be to look at places such as E-Bay and search the part number since some sellers purchase bulk lots of discontinued merchandise and list it in that format. P.S. If you cannot find the K&N air filter anywhere else, the Prowler Store has one. |

I saw the K&N 33-2002, but the size doesn't match the Chrysler OEM filter. There is a 33-2126, which matches the length and width, but is shallower. I'm waiting on the aFe Power filter to be delivered. They claim it fits the Prowler. |

Don’t waste your money, it will make no difference in performance. I’ve been down this road, just enjoy it for what it is. 👍 |

aFe power 30-10018 is exactly the same size as the OEM filter. Of course, it fits the air filter housing perfectly. Whether or not it provides any change in performance/economy, it is basically fit and forget for many thousands of miles, provided your not traveling in the Sahara Desert. For the mileage I anticipate I will be covering in this vehicle, I will likely never need to change this filter again |
