The first time I met any POA member in person was at the national event at Pigeon Forge, TN in Sept. 2002. Needless to say, I met several there.

The very first member I met was either Laddie Roussel or Ed Monahan. Laddie had helped me and several others with getting Hot Bras by Kal and he seemed more excited over seeing my bra than I was. Ed was very cordial and witty as I though he would be.

Met several great people at that event. Marty Usher answered many of my mod questions as did CNote and Real Rod Bob. I remember late night cold ones with Ron, George Maxey & son, Cnote & Gary C.

Bob and CJ were very cordial as well.

I probably should not have started mentioning names, but memory lane got me going.

I met Chuck Tilson ,CT PROWLER,at the Daytona 500, through the POA, even though he was living only about 2 miles from me. Then , I think you were probably the next POA member I met ,Roman, in Niagara Falls.

First of all...my apologies for trying to corrupt this cool thread. Yep...I'll take the blame!:

Thanks to Chuck (CTProwler) I wouldn't have known about the annual Exotic Car Show up at the Anheuser Busch Brewery in Merrimack, NH. I'll have to say Chuck was the first POA member that I had the opportunity to meet in June of 2004.

Since that time I have met many more members with nothing but GREAT things to say about all!!!

Once again...all made possible by this fantastic site. In my opinion...this site is the icing on the cake to owning a Prowler.
Thanks again to Mr. Krehel and all the GREAT members of this site.

Before POA was PPC......I was at a car show in Evansville, Indiana with the Prowler.......A guy came over as we were trying to clean the car up and started talking to Sue.

The Yellow Prowlers had not been out long, I believe it was Oct. of 98, this guy was telling Sue he had a yellow Prowler also. Once I stop and start to talk to him he said he had his 64 Studebaker there at this show. I was thinking yeah right this guy has a Prowler too........WELL DAVE RIDGE DOES HAVE A YELLOW PROWLER TOO.

We stay in contact with Dave and Nancy Ridge throughout the year.

I have met so many NICE people because of the Prowler

I met "The Road Warrior" Marc at a Johnny's Dinner show and shine in June of 2002. I think he had just got his hardtop done and was enjoying it. There were about 450 cars there and his was the only "Kat" there. He had a pretty good crowd around it with the carbs sticking out of the hood. Since then we have been on many runs together along with Chromer and many other good friends.

It was Ed at a car show. Ed asked me how much I paid for the Woodward and wouldn't believe me when I told him! Go figure.

The first prowler owner I met was Jim Hergert....before he bought his yellow 99 prowler. I met him at the March '99 Goodguys car show in Pleasanton, where I had the cajones to enter my car into the show by myself. (and yes, the old men were actually cordial to me....a woman driving a modern day hotrod.)

However, the first prowler owner I met and cruised with was Larry Lord. I drove from N CA to Southern CA, to meet this guy at his office/warehouse in order to go on the Hot Rod Power Tour. This was back in May, '99.....we met up with Al Becker along the way and the rest is history. Our crazy stunt was that the 3 of us were filmed driving across I40, 3 across (2 yellows & my purple), by a crazy Goetz film crew in a white van....the guy was hanging out the back of the van with the doors open......I thought it was nuts!!!! *sigh*

The 3 of us had a blast - the 3 amigos who didn't know each other on Thursday were fast friends by Friday. And still are to this day.

note - I met Phil & Jane Horvath in the week or two around this time as well up in Napa, CA. At least, I think it was around that time.

Debbie-Catwoman, most men are nice to good looking women, no matter the circumstances. Most men might be morons but they are not stupid.

Roarin failed to mention "the rest of the story". I tried to buy his Woodward in Feb or March and they wanted about $ 6000 more than he paid for it. They would have sold it in Feb or March instead of later that year if they would have given me the same price he paid.

The first POA members we met were CJ and Bob Longstreth. As everyone who knows them knows, they are quite a unique couple and really made both Tom and I feel welcome at the 50th anniversary of the Chrysler proving grounds. It was an event that still has Tom talking. Met some great people there but the first was CJ and Bob. Thanks to both of you for the formal introduction to the POA and it's great membership.

My first group of people (all met at the same time) was the Texas bunch headed up by Fred/Debe Henkel(Lord of the Looks), Don/Kelly Etheridge, Steve/Sandy Bingham, Mike Ross, as well as may other fellow Texans, and the incomparable, unforgettable Marty Usher.... on a trip to Texas after I'd had the Prowler for only a few weeks... roadtrip time! Great group of folks.... probably thought I was nuts, but hey.. it takes some people years to figure that out!!!

Hey Phil, I remember that evening. What a great show. I think that was one of the last that Johnny's was able to do thanx to the the merchants in the center complaining.
For me the first member (PPC) at that time was Chromer in January of 2000. We made a run up 285 over Kenosha pass to Jefferson. I'll leave the details to Chromer but I will say that's the first time I heard of a rev limiter and saw a Prowler half spin out at 50mph on some serious twisties.
