Buddy,
I guess that is what could be described as "Spin".

It sounds like they are saying they took the initiative and took it upon themselves to do the R&D to develop these parts without any outside influence.

In reality, I imagine they watch this forum closely so they can come up with all their new products and take credit for them.

There are likely many unsuspecting owners out there that believe the nonsense that is being told to them.

Personally, I think of it as PSBS!

Agree, Andria, just another example of what they do best, IMO.

Nothing new. I haven't heard anything. I will post something when I know something.
It will NOT be this coming week. And the following Monday is the holiday so it won't be for at least another 9 or 10 days. Maybe the Prowler Store will have them sooner. lol

...there is a Prowler Tech and Viper tech both here in New Castle Indiana who might be of assistance if needed

...they are self employed at "Joes Transmission" and work on everything I own from Vipers, Prowlers, Muscle Cars of the past, new Muscle Cars and your mothers mini van

As stated a couple of times ABOVE, I will post when I get info. If there is nothing new, I won't post on it.
That said I sent Glen an email LATE today and he responded very quickly. The first batch came in but wasn't up to the standards they expected. A second batch is being produced but not there yet.
I will update when I get new info. I have no idea when.

I got the email around 7:30 PM but ran some errands and wasn't looking at the computer for a couple of hours or I would have posted it earlier.

I got another email from Rare Parts. They are not happy with the current supplier where they were attempting to get these made. They have another supplier who was already sending them a very similar ball joint. That ball joint had to be machined a bit but they think it will be a much better product in the end.
The OEM ball joint pulled out of the A arm with 8200 lbs of pressure. Their new ball joint required 17,000 lbs on the Tensile Testing Mchine. That A arm and ball joint only had 5000 miles on it.
There will be a grease fitting, not known yet if it will be a straight fitting or a 90. We will determine that after it is installed. There will be a Limited Life Time Warranty.
Price will be $ 90 each, with a pre-production price of about $ 67.
I don't know WHEN as of this point.
I will post when I know more.

Thanks Ed. Good info. Whenever these are ready for sale a seperate new post should be created so everyone will be aware. I think it would be a good idea to have a set 'just in case'.

Rich, that will be sometime in the future, after we determine if they are going to work. I don't know ANY of the timeline. Hopefully I will receive the parts in the very near future, but that is not a certainty at this point.

I would like to pre order also. If there is a list please put me on it. Or if we can contact Glen directly please provide his email. I will likely buy a set to have the stock ones immediately replaced, plus a spare set to pass on to the family member that inherits our Prowler. Money well spent just like an insurance policy.

There is more to this story. CAT-A-TONIC I will always purchase your brand when available.
Once again I don't know what to call this but sure sucks they would undermine the effort you have put into this.

I’ll wait for this solution, have no real interest in buying anything from the Prowler store, heard too many bad stories and did not find them very honest or friendly myself some time ago when I inquired about a part.

The sooner the better though, the right side has failed already on the Silver and is strapped together just to allow me to move it around.

Howdy From TN. Add me to please, Believe I have the originals that came on the car. Have 55K on the clock. They "seem" OK but don't want to take the chance. I have a home lift and they don't move when jerked on but...... THKS

You can check with a Chrysler/Dodge service department by having them run a VIP Summary Report on your VIN# That will tell you if the 'recall' was performed on your Prowler or not..

Ed, if you're making up a Pre-Production Order List at the $67 price point, please put me down for 4. Thanks, Buddy.
