So after loading everything up into the Monster Trailer and getting it back home, I had no air conditioning in the house, the inside unit was on, but the outside unit wasn't running. I took the access cover off and used my compressor to blow out the contacts, and look who came out! Looks like the lizard's tail got caught in the contacts and fried him. But luckily it did not damage my AC contacts, it started back up once I got all of him out of there! |

Added a fourth Go Kart to the fleet this past week. Pretty rough shape, but so were the others! This one is an electric start, but I haven't decided if I will rebuild this engine or just replace it with a more modern like I did the others. It's been so hot and humid, I still haven't mounted the body on the Yellow Go Kart, nor have we been to any shows. So I haven't decided what color to do the 4th Kart, depends on what the next big Prowler color will be? |

Our seats were showing signs of wear especially the silver outer bolsters. I just had the seats re-dyed and they look brand new again. While the seats were out I steam cleaned the carpets. The passenger seat is back in but I am trying to find out why my aftermarket tachometer light only works intermediately so I have not reinstalled the drivers seat yet. I have already replaced the tachometer bulb so I think it is a loose connection somewhere. |

quote: I had them done by a professional. It was a water based dye. I don't know the brand. He said the water base is the best. After having your seats re-dyed only clean them with Leather cleaner. He recommended Lexol brand. When I picked up the Prowler seats I had him do the front seats of our Escalade as well. He charged me $200 for the Prowler seats because he had to tape them off to avoid getting silver on the purple portion of the seats. He charged only $150 for the Escalade seats and center console arm rest. I can try and find out what brand he used. He custom mixed the colors and use a spray gun to apply the dye. In some areas where the leather was really worn and scuffed he had to apply a sealer to those areas of the leather first. He applied Lexol leather conditioner to the seats almost immediately after he dyed them. This message has been edited by BeWare on 08-05-2014 at 05:08 PM |

quote: Netek electric Prowler for children under 50 lbs They did a recall on them due to the wiring catching on fire They made them in yellow, purple and red I have a yellow painted to match my car, sold my purple to Jim Anderson in Erie pa, bought a red yard art one for Steve's Clark who painted it black and picked up a red one from Bruce and Carol. Have had 2 other yellows one Dave mills ended up with and a parts car that fixed Dave's.... LOL NOW what I did with the prowler, well nothing with the car but for the car Ordered a set of Pirelli tires for it today. They are suppose to be a matched set in the correct size. So maybe next week will have some new rubber and get rid of the original SLICKS on the rear. 39,000 miles and the fronts still look good but the back are very smooth ------------------ |

Finally finished reassembling the Yellow Go kart this weekend after replacing the engine and adding the dual exhaust. I re-sprayed the hub caps chrome paint again, still not totally happy with how the chrome paint holds up, but it looks pretty good for right now. I just need to find a way to store it in the Monster Trailer with the cars, trailers and other Karts. Things are getting a little crowded in there. Jason wants me to paint Kart number 4 as a Black Tie, still considering what to do with that one. ------------------ |

Well I finally got a new match set of Pirelli tires on the car with replacement TPSM & sensors Have to get the sensors programmed but should be good to go. We did drive it this weekend and I guess it rides better. It didn't seem to follow the grooves in the road as much as I remember with the goodyears. And when in a turn and hitting bumb it didn't jump Is it that noticeable, well it still has a rough ride, nothing is going to change that, just maybe not quite as bad. I guess because I don't drive it daily it might be a big improvement and I just don't notice or care........ LOL Now have to get a set for the trailer. I can tell a difference in my Mustang going from my 17" winter tires to 18" summer tires, but it still rides like a mustang. ------------------ |

We have been so busy this summer with traveling and company! Finally got to drive the Candy Cat and the Kid Cat!!! Took the Kid Cat out on Thursday night of Dream Cruise, Candy Cat on Friday of Dream Cruise and also Sunday!!! Was supposed to go take the Black Cat to a car show up north this coming weekend but they are predicting rain for the rest of the week so that probably isn't going to happen. |

Took the White enclosed trailer in for new tires Tuesday and had the bearings and brakes checked. Looks like it needs the battery that powers the winches replaced. Also drove the three Prowlers to the shop to get their annual inspection stickers. Sure turned a lot of heads when I showed up each time with another color! Took each one out for a drive then, made for a great day, even though it was 103 degrees! |

Received my AIG Barrett-Jackson policy renewal bill today, only went up $16.00 for the collection for the year, so I am pretty happy about that. I think that is my first increase since switching to them. |

quote: Sure Dale, run them without air they are flat........ No just regular radials Sue thinks it rides better, it might be. I think it handles different when pulling the trailer Overall happy with them, just wish I had got new tires a few years ago before all the others stopped making matched sets. |
