The Video's are awesome and it sounds great. One question I do have, How do you change the oil filter? From the pic below (circled in RED) it seems the oil filter would be difficult to remove, or is there acess from the side that we cannot see? |

OK Spoons you are going to get more pictures out of me and I will try not to HI Jack this thread... Plenty of room for filter change as you can see by this back shot with Al... onecatnodog It's kinda funny what angles can do with pictures... Also the Video that was shown with the car running around the parking lot was with OUT the full exhaust system and was just straight out of the cats... It sounds way better with the mufflers and tail pipes on as it gives it the deep HEMI TONE and doesn't set the trouble codes on the computer that were set when you heard it running... onecatnodog |

Sorry no more on the Colorado Hemi Prowler on Brendan's post as I do not want to HI JACK it... You all will have to wait till the car is tested going up and down Trail Ridge Road this spring to get the rest of the story with pictures, and I will do that under its own Topic and will answer question from all then.... Thanks for all the interest in the Mile Hi Hemi Prowler.... John(onecatnodog)Collins |

Chris, This is a partial copy of a post Brendan made back in December. His phone number is at the bottom of this post. He loves talking cars. A real nice guty to talk with. Give him a call. Brad posted 12-02-2008 10:16 PM The floor and firewall would NOT need to be cut or modified, the motor fits in there fine. The reason other people have cut the floors is because they didn't install the motor right and the driveshaft came apart and ruined the floor so it had to be cut out and redone. Let me know if you have any questions, or give me a call at 910-515-4762 if you want to talk about it This message has been edited by BradleyG on 05-08-2009 at 03:15 PM |

I know on this install there is no A/C. Is it possible to fab the OEM A/C with a 6.1L Hemi? |

quote: Thanks for your reply to my inquiry; that may very well be the case, but that also is not the swap of performance_innovations, the originator of this thread. His 6.1 Hemi swap is the focus of my question, because of his statement below: quote: In any case, I'm hoping we hear something further from performance_innovations re the success of his Hemi swap because he hasn't posted anything on this thread, which he originated, in months. (Alternately, maybe we'll hear something further on this thread from BradleyG, who noted he's the owner of the shop executing this particular Hemi swap.) |

Jesus christ! That thing is a BEAST!!! I'm personally not one of those guys who gripes about the prowler not having a V8. I like it just the way it is (especially for road trips)... but this is pretty cool man... Pretty cool... wicked! |

I hope we hear something further from performance_innovations, the originator of this thread re his 6.1L Hemi V8 project for a Prowler. He's not posted anything further to this thread in 4 months, which is not a good sign. |

Well i know its been awhile with any updates. But the car run and drives now, no overheating issues, sounds like no other prowler! There was just an enormous amount of fabrication involved! We are working out a few bugs, some minor transmission shifting issues( trying to get the V8 tach signal converted to V6 signal so TCM gets it properly) The trans shifts fine, it just isn't "perfect" Here's some pics of the exhaust, bell housing adapter, and overall fit and finish. And a video of it starting the first time http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMoR3_USdUg Here's the full buildup page on my website http://per4manceinnovations.com/garage.php?id=3
