BT161, I thought some people may want to make it their own and may want to do different openings that is one of the reasons I made the plug the way it is, you can buy it un-painted take a dremel or rotozip tool to it and cut openings the way you want them ( and since its fiberglass if you make a mistake you can fix it ). Also saw the pics and have a idea for my speaker cover for paint and my bass openings, I am going to try to cut a flame pattern for the openings that you can then highlight with paint when you put my mural on. I will be running most of the day, my daughter will be here to take calls and can wright up your orders. If you have some questions let her know how to reach you late this afternoon and evening as it looks like I will be working late to catch up on things I did not get packaged last week. 952-873-6626 Bob ------------------ This message has been edited by Bob Goetz on 03-14-2005 at 07:10 AM |

Bob...Funny I called you before reading your reply....I was thinking of flame cutouts too....LOL. I can't wait to get mine and the mind is reeling at all the possibilities for the cutouts...let alone the paint scheme. If you base yours in auto Air, I can match exactly here for touch ups, etc. Thanks Bob!!!!! : adakvs1: The new part is supposed to clip right in where the old one comes out.....just a few plastic clips and not speakers need to be swapped or moved if you don't want. |

OK yesterday I spent the better part of 6 hours and 140 miles on this project I went to dads wholesale business and fit the part to a 2001 and fit was fine, I then took it over to my car that is a 2000 and fit was fine ( just making sure ), took my car for a test run of about 20 miles to check for rattles and found one when I went over some rail road tracks at about 40MPH, ( it was hitting on the back side of the part on a raised portion of the underside of the deck lid ) went back to the shop reground the area making the noise and went back out for a couple of test passes over the same tracks and rattle was gone. They are reshaping that spot and then will take my car out and hit the same tracks to make sure it is gone and then should be at molds Thursday or Friday. I would like to say Thanks to everyone that is ordering! ------------------ |

Bob, As I have a few other things going with my Kat this year, I don't know if I can go for this right now. I know I am going to want to do this at some point. Will this be available down the road or is this a one time deal with this mod? ------------------ |

This will be a on going part for me. I am thinking I can build 25 of them before my fiberglass shop shuts down, then depending on when I sell out I could have a 60 to 90 window with no product. ------------------ |

Again Thanks For the Pre Orders!!! We still had to make some changes to the back side, I am going up Friday to give my stamp of approval. Again deposit checks or charges will not be done or made until we are at molds. Then its 1 part per day can be made. ------------------ |

Let me know if anyone wants them custom painted/ airbrushed, then clearcoated/ buffed. I think Bob is going to start using the same paint system for some stuff so color matching will be even easier if he bases the piece and sends it to me to custom paint... I am licensed to use the Prowler logo with POA and can put anything you want on them. My website was updated this morning...some new pics. http://mysite.verizon.net/vzepbm8a/ My website host server is fussy sometimes...If the page does not display just hit F5 on your keyboard for quick refresh...it'll come up. Thanks! This message has been edited by Black Tie 161 on 03-18-2005 at 10:24 AM |
