Laddie and several others have been working on this but as of today I do not know if it has been worked out. So question?

1. Anyone mass producing these?

2. Laddie started this are you OK with me continuing?

3. If I do this do I have 15 people willing to buy at a cost of $500 or a little less un-painted or $700 or a little less painted? I do not know what the final cost will be at this time.

I can drop my car off after the Pumpkin Run the Stereo R&D guy said he can knock out the prototype in 5 days, 5 more days for the body shop to clean it up for molds, 10 days for molds then I can make final parts. So I think I can have parts ready to ship by the end of October.

Here is a link to Laddies post and the look of his is what I will be shooting for. http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum9/HTML/000735.html

You know I want one. But just so you know in advance I will have to wait till next year before it will fit into our budget. I broke the bank on the Plenum.

Yes I am waiting for Laddie, I feel he started this spent the money so I do not want to step on his toes. I figure he has not been online maybe getting ready for the storm. I had his phone number but cannot find it, if someone has it maybe give him a call and ask him to look at the thread.

As it looks I am going to build one for my car anyway that kind of match's my grill and will be adding another sub and some other goodies I scored from a supplier that will be on Power Tour next year and may use my car in their booth at some of the stops. But as long as the car is apart I will make one VERY similar to Laddies that is a direct drop in, that is also why I want to talk to him first.

Not only does the spkr box look awesome & completes the inside--previously mentioned--but what did I miss about how he got the seats & tops so BLACK? THAT is what makes the BOX look so dang good! Would the BOX look so good with our stock taupe seats??? Hmmmm. Where have I missed how to get the seats this beautiful BLACK? Thanks...

Bob - I can't speak for Laddie. I'm sure he's contending with Ivan right now, as you mentioned. But there was another thread on this recently. You may have missed it. Laddie stated in there, (paraphrasing) that he didn't care if someone else took this on to completion, but that it was not his design, and he can't speak for the designer's side of things. I don't remember the thread. May have been the contentious one about redoing Northern cat's side panels. But, if you can get permission from the one(s) that did Laddie's design, I think this could be a go.

The only person I care about on this issue is Laddie, the guys that did the work for him did not do it for free or even discounted from the prices I've been quoted, I know Laddie took a Large chunk of cash out of his pocket to make his so it could have a mold pulled off of it. I am sure the storm is keeping him away and I still have 2 weeks before I drop the car off to have them do it so I can wait. I just need to know if 15 people will buy this right out of the gate before I spend the money on the plug, mold, cutting jig, screen die, boxes etc.. By the time I make the first part from a mold I will have to spend about $5000, I do not want to do this if it will take me 6 months to sell 15. I am all for continuing to make new items for the Prowler but I have to make sure it makes financial sense or I cant keep my doors open.

I was very interested when this conversation was raised a month ago. I am still interested and probably be better prepared to buy one after Christmas. But since I just bought the weekender from you (it arrived today and I'll look at it in tomorrows daylight) and a painted bra from Kal and Laddie, I'll be a little short for a while...... still interested though!!!
PS... I haven't heard from Laddie either. They were trying to get the bra done for this Sundays Beloit show....my best guess is that Ivan has interrupted those plans. I'm more concerned for their safety than I am about the bra or the show. So soon as anyone hears anything.....let the group know!

Bob. We were away because of the storm which stayed away from us.

The speaker box project is OK with me. I had to speak with Cory Himel (Prestige) & Kal to get their position on using Prwtige's design. I just left you a voicemail and Cory wants to talk to you. I left you my phone # and I have an idea or two... Give me a call over the weekend... I'll be in & out...
