I had spoken to him 5 or 6 weeks ago and he told me at that time, the Cancer he had fought and stalemated many times was back again but he had declined treatment due to the Cancer's location.
He passed peacefully at home with his Wife and Daughters by his side.
I'll miss his laughter and friendship. He was one of those people that even if you never saw each other for many years, when you spoke on the phone it was like you had just talked yesterday.
He was a Car Guy his whole life and will be missed.

Almost one year since we lost our Prowler friend Norm
from New Mexico.

Here is his obit: http://getzfuneralhome.com/book-of-memories/4120088/Norbert-Waleke/obituary.php

There is a place on the left side marked > MEMORIES

Any one who Norm helped out with their Prowler questions can add a story to this page.... Let Norm and the family know we haven't forgot our friend Norm

As many know, I've not been here in a while. About 7 years. I just went through this entire thread. SO many of these people absolutely touched my/my families lives in the past, and when I sold the Prowler, tears running down my cheeks were an indication that anything Prowler in the future would deeply hurt/sadden me - I HAD to sell the car to keep my five kids in Private High School and College. I didn't want to. And I sold everything with the car - collectible stuff to not have to look at it. It was painful. Seeing Richard Jackson here dropped my heart to the ground, what a GREAT guy. GenoTax, Bob Goetz, Vickie, so many here. I've been blessed with a tremendous life and have met so very, very many people in my work, where I lived, our church, kids schools etc. Many people, we just don't keep in touch with on a regular basis, but when we re-connect, it's like we never ever stopped chatting/seeing each other. The Prowler club is that way too. Still trying to go over in my head how the heck I ended up with another car in a matter of 2 hours, Sunday. Absolutely the last thing I needed to do. Or was it ? Seeing Phil's picture, I still think of him often, I truly do - his memory brought a BIG smile - I was still a member when he passed. Great kids too. One of the absolutely nicest people that I have ever met. In any setting..... I know I was avoiding this thread, and I know why. But for now, I truly appreciate the club having put this together and Laddie keeping it up. Some have reached out to me (PM's) that there are members of their families now struggling, and that prevents them from Traveling, getting out. And that I may not see them again, at club events. That is as hard, at times, as a death. Being a caretaker of a loved one. Massively hard assignment.... More on all that later, but thank you for doing this on this site. A tough read, for sure. This club, has been blessed with SUPER KIND AND FUN PEOPLE. I hope and I pray that each and everyone of these people knew that was them, in our lives, in my life.

Many of the POA members met Art and Kathy at several local and national events that they attended over several years, as Art always considered driving and attending Prowler events was one of his passions. His soul-mate, Kathy Johnson always went along until Kathy passed away in 2009, but Art kept traveling to show his HappyDays Prowler!

Please extend your condolences to Art's family which includes his daughter Cady and grandchildren.

Art and Kathy traveled many, many trips with Lethia and I to out-of-state events, and we always had a great time with them.

Michael added many mods to his Prowler, and really enjoyed his car until he got scammed for $1000 on a custom grill order which infuriated him because it never was shipped,, and caused him to sell his Prowler in disgust.

After retiring and living in Michigan....Michael and Kimberly moved to Las Vegas for several years, next moved to Chandler, AZ for a couple of years, then moved back to Michigan before finally moving to Florida where he recently passed away.

Michael and I kept in touch frequently as we both owned Prowlers and Corvettes. Michael would continue to read the POA website, and even his last post here IN 2016 showed the humor he had >>

Just going through some old pictures and remembering Wild Bill. Bill had the biggest heart. Even though I didn't have a Prowler, Bill always found a way to include me. I was dubbed "The Caboose". Running block for caravans, becoming a raised tripod for pictures, and just loved hanging with everyone. Bill always loved it and made me feel included, making custom magnets and a tire cover for me. Bill was more than a friend and club member. He was family, and will forever be missed.

Just going through some old pictures and remembering Wild Bill. Bill had the biggest heart, and if you had the pleasure of meeting him, you were loved and loved him back. I didn't have a Prowler, but that didn't matter to Bill. I was dubbed "The Caboose." Running block for caravans, becoming a mobile tripod for Prowler group shots, and loved just hanging with the ECP.
