quote: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>> Larry I've been a good friend of Sam since I joined the POA in 2003, we have had business dealings over the years including my buying Sams 2001 orange Prowler & trailer & lots of Sams Prowlers parts 3 years ago, about 2 years ago after a meet greet & eat at the basketball hall of fame in Springfield Mass, Sam followed me home to Conn on his way back NJ, when he saw his old Prowler in my shop he almost had a tear in his eyes. I've been to Sams house and have seen his cars, I want to tell you that what you just said in your above statement about Sam the Man simply could not have been said better. Gary Cleverley
quote: A Video Tribute by Dan Pena 2/13/2012... Laddie....I was reading all these obits and when I saw Gary's again, I clicked on the link of the club that had contacted me on POA to tell us of his passing. They were collecting money to take care of Gary's cremation. When I read it again today, there was a lot more information. Here was the outcome of their efforts if you want to add it to Gary's obit here. CJ ... "Just a quick heads up and progress report: Our mutual friend Bob in California has been on the case since the beginning leveraging to get Gary's body released so we could arrange a proper cremation for Gary. I am happy to tell you that this was accomplished and the cremation has taken place. He will join his mother behind their old house in California as well as here in Indiana. A check has been cut for the preliminary expenses for the cremation services and disposition reports, ect. to reimbuse Bob per the invoice he submitted. There is one invoice left to arrive from the ME, which we will also cover from the Memorial Fund. Bottom line....this should be evidence to all of the validity behind the concept of: Working together, winning together! Gary would be very proud. Lets continue this trend guys...good things can happen even out of some of the most tragic circumstances sometimes....and I am damned proud to have stood beside you guys here while we all made this possible and hope to continue that trend into the future."

Danny Gans
quote: Danny Gans's Death Stuns Las Vegas By Lorenzo Benet Friday May 01, 2009 06:40 PM EDT Danny Gans AP The Las Vegas entertainment community was shocked by the sudden death Friday of Danny Gans, a popular singer and impressionist. "Las Vegas lost a great man, a great icon, his memory will live on through those he inspired," said ventriloquist Terry Fator, a headliner at the Mirage and the former winner of the 2007 America's Got Talent. Steve Wynn, chief executive of Wynn Resorts, called Gans's death "a profoundly tragic event that leaves us all sad and speechless. The loss of Danny to his wife Julie, his children, Amy, Andrew and Emily is at this moment impossible to comprehend." This message has been edited by Laddie Roussel on 01-04-2012 at 07:28 PM |

David J. De Seife
quote:
He was born in Kenosha on Aug. 16, 1943, the son of the late Alford Sr. and Ruth (O'Brian) De Seife. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he attended Frieden's Ev. Lutheran School, Mary D. Bradford High School, NCR Technical in Dayton, Ohio and Denver, Colorado, and Gateway Technical in Kenosha, Wisconsin. A United States Air Force veteran, he served from November 1961 to March 1965 stationed in the U.S. and Osan Korea; also as an Air Force reservist until November 1967. He married Beverly J. Seehafer of Marshfield, Wisconsin on Aug. 27, 1966. David was employed by the NCR Corporation for 13 years as a technical service representative. He also worked in the engineering department at Cherry Electric Corporation. After 23 years as maintenance/production supervisor at AMC/Daimler Chrysler, David retired on Sept. 30, 2003. He was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church and enjoyed his involvement in the construction of the church building expansion that was completed in 2007. David involved himself in many hobbies that he pursued passionately, including collecting and the restoration of A.C. Gilbert erector sets, of which he was a member of the A.C. Gilbert Heritage Society. He enjoyed fishing trips to Canada lakes with his father-in-law, brothers-in-law and good friends. The Wolf River areas in northern Wisconsin were also a favorite fishing spot that he loved to share with his grandchildren. He also cherished spending time on his boat with his wife and friends cruising up and down the shores of Lake Michigan. His Plymouth Prowler was his pride and joy, and he participated in many car shows and events. He was a member of the Prowlers Owner Association. David drove his Prowler to Detroit, Michigan many times to participate in the Woodward Dream Cruises. Surviving are his wife, Beverly; two sons, Daniel (Kathleen) of Kenosha and Douglas (Elizabeth) of Eastvale, Calif.; his beloved sister, Diane (Larry) Vogelsang of Tujunga, Calif.; and another sister, Sharon Greidanus of Kenosha. Also surviving him are his precious grandchildren, Jessica (Kyle) Worcester; Emily, John, Randy, Leah, David, Derek and Destini Eliasson. He is further survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and two brothers, Alfred Jr. and Donald. A memorial service celebrating David's life, with military honors, will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, in Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 5601 Washington Road, Kenosha. Dave's family will visit with relatives and friends at a reception following the service. Private interment will take place in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lord of Life Youth Ministries, Frieden's Ev. Lutheran School or Hospice Alliance would be appreciated by the family.

Daniel Arnold Our son, Daniel, died from a spinal injury of June 5th. While he did not own a Prowler, he loved mine and loved to drive his friends in it. He was with me at my first Prowler meet, Woodward 2004. Here we are at the Connor Avenue plant in 2007. That was the year he turned 16 and he got to drive the Kat in Woodward! I am VERY glad I allowed my kids to drive the Prowler and allow them to create their own memories. We greatly miss Daniel as he was a son any parent dreams of having: Pre-Med honors student, early acceptance to Med school, great fiance', goal oriented, and was a person his friends looked up to. RIP Daniel. I am keeping a blog of my experiences here: |

Kevin, what horrible news. I am stunned. My deepest condolences for your terrible loss. What a great kid. I remember meeting him in the lot behind the hotel at Woodward. I know he was an over achiever and you can be VERY proud of what a great son he turned out to be. Again, I am stunned. What a terrible shame to lose a great young man like that. |
