It is a lot cheaper than losing one or two. Get them all done and be done with it. |

As requested, I'm posting this repair failure. It was subsequently re-repaired with a magnet and put back into service.I don't know why it failed. |

You are quite welcome. I don't do any of the work, Dick and his son take care of that. |

Just an FYI. Dick repaired a silver center cap and said it is made up off a different concoction of plastic. I think this was the first painted one he ever repaired. |

Just a FYI. If you break a rubber O ring, Dick will happily replace it. They can dry out over time or get hot enough to stick to the rim. He would rather have a happy Prowler owner, rather than a dissatisfied customer. Get them repaired now, before the season starts. If you center cap rattles, it is partially broken already. Don't lose them, they are really expensive to replace. Dick is also making more spinners. |

The Prowler Store apparently copied Dick's fix for the Center cap and they are selling them for ONLY $ 150 each. He will repair YOURS for ONLY $ 46 each. It is really hard for me to believe folks will pay the outrageous prices that he charges, especially when he rips off POA members. Remember the hitch fiasco! He bought a POA member's hitch on eBay for an exhorbitant price, copied it, then made a complaint to eBay that the hitch was scratched and sent it back, costing the POA member shipping both ways and establishing a very high price, as shown on recent eBay sales. No one could figure out why the price went so high, until afterwards. A fine upstanding business man. This message has been edited by ed monahan on 05-05-2016 at 08:19 PM |

And don't forget Ed, he also copied my bumper removal light kit and the pictures on his site are of cars with my light kit on them and advertises them "only available at the prowler store" And they are only $200.00 more than mine. Hey, funny thing is I later bought that same hitch, the one copied by the Prowler Store, and installed it on my car! I was not scratched...at least before I installed it! Works great! quote: |

is this information posted back in 2010 at beginning of thread still valid? ----------> Send them directly to Dick Linneman. Dick Linneman does he have an email or phone number to contact directly to see if he is still doing this? Michel |

All of the info is valid and up to date. I was over there about an hour ago. Dick is on a 5 month "round the world" cruise and his son has taken over the business but his son is in his mid or late 50s so he is not a kid, either. Turn around time is extremely quick with a lifetime guarantee. Ship directly to them. |

I had a very unusual issue with a repaired center cap and returned it to Dick's shop. The fix was in an and a repaired cap was back to me within the week. You cannot beat the repair and service Dick offers. To consider any other source is a waste of time. This message has been edited by MIKE GATLIN on 04-03-2017 at 06:44 PM |

By the way, Mike's was one of the very early repairs with the PVC piece. Now Dick uses aluminum. The only cost to Mike was the shipping. If you take off the center cap, use some lube when you re-install. |

I have four of the "Early" repaired caps on my Kat and Dad had six of the "Later" on his Kat & Trailer. No issues with either style. I also had a set of four "Later" style done as spares in case I have a need someday. One thing I have learned since purchasing my Kat is that if you see something someone is producing, and you like it, buy it before production ceases. While I do NOT expect Dick to stop doing these repairs anytime soon, one never knows what the future holds. I would encourage anyone that has not yet had this repair / UPGRADE done, to get it done before the OE mounting tabs fail and you lose a center cap.
