Dick is back from vacation and we are all caught up on orders. He changed from using PVC pipe as the ring, to using aluminum. He thinks it will be more stable and a more precise. I currently have 9 repaired caps ready to go so if you need some, let me know. I can mail them to you and you can then send me the broken ones and check. I am not going to take Paypal any longer. They take a healthy chunk for each transaction. If you have extra broken center caps laying around, I will buy them for $ 15 each. That helps me keep a supply on hand. |

This is the new and improved version of Dick's repair. It is aluminum instead of PVC. I will attempt to load another picture but it is very iffy for me these days.

Ed, I am delighted to see the post on the center cap repair. I have two on the car and one on the trailer that are broken. However, I would like to have all 6 repaired at this same time. Ed Monahan, I hear from my good friend Larry Salzman in Arizona that you may be on vacation in Alaska, as the reason that I have not had a response from you. That is great, hope you are having a good vacation! I am taking your advice, and shipping six center caps (4 for the car and 2 for the trailer) directly to Dick Linneman for repair. I am anxious to get them repaired as I have four of them taped on with packing tape. Told Dick in a note to him, enclosed in the package, that I sent $160.00 the cover the repair and return shipping. Tom, we are in B C tonight. We were on a ship in Alaska for 7 days. Internet was available for only $ 100 for 250 hours. I didn't feel my feeble posts were worth that kind of money. Dick will take great care of you. Hopefully your trailer rims are the exact same as your car wheels. I have had folks tell me theirs were different than the car rims. I will be home next Wed, I think. You will have them back from Dick by then, probably. |

I received my caps back today, could not beleive the fast turn around! I am very pleased with the workmanship, and the way the caps just snap firmly on. Thank you very much Ed for recommending this fix. I sent Richard Linnemann an e-mail thanking him for his great work! If anyone has broken cap rings, I suggest you cannot go wrong with this fix. Let me repeat, I really have nothing to do with this solution. Dick came up with it, called me and asked me to post it since I am well known and he is not and he doesn't really do computers very much at all. I appreciate folks thanking me, but I am just the messenger. If anyone EVER has a problem with a center cap, I am sure Dick will fix it free as long as he is alive. He has repaired around 350 so far, I think, and did have one problem with a bad glue job on a very early one. If you have a problem, let me know and I will tell him about it. |

A/C, I think it was a play on words about me being out of touch, in general. Anyway, Super Dave is looking for a broken center cap for a project. I don't have any at this point so if someone can help him out, it would be appreciated. Dave is a great guy and would help out any Prowler owner so if you can help him out, please do. Otherwise I will pull one out of the next batch that comes in for repair, for him, and replace it with one of my extras, already repaired. |

Ed, I would like to get my last two caps repaired, so let me know if you plan on going to Woodward and I will bring them along and swap them out. I think I'm driving the Challenger up instead of the Prowler since the kids are coming with me. I can keep one of the caps out and get it to Dave if he hasn't already found one. T |

Tami, I still don't know if we are going to make it. Sandy's job has been teetering on the edge for almost 2 years and now it looks like they might be ramping it UP again instead of dismantling the place. It is on 88 acres abutting a high priced city. The land is worth big bucks and rumor has it the county is going to sell. If they are closing VERY soon she won't want to take off but not it is looking like things are stable. We have a new tenant moving in across the street on the 15th or 16th from Utah. We need to be here for that. Sandy's grandson is getting baptized on the 12th, I think so that is another road trip. TMI but I don't know when we will know for sure. I would like to come up and hopefully we will know this coming week. |
