Rod & I have decided to host a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame event in Cleveland Ohio. This will be a 4 day event from Thursday, June 13th. to Sunday, June 16 2013. Rod & I would like to stress that this will be an event for all Prowler owners, friends & family. This will be a fun weekend for all to enjoy. We have a few things planned, see the Rock, also a fun filled day in Put in Bay, take the cars over on the ferry. A drive through Amish country, & maybe a tour of the house where Christmas Story was filmed. Just remember we only have a short time to do all the things we have planned. If anyone has something they want to see, our ears are open for suggestions. I'm checking on places to stay & what deals I can get for the group. Would you guys like just a clean room, nothing fancy, or a nicer place with a swimming pool, bar & restaurant? We will keep you posted. Please consider joining us for a great weekend......Rod & Mac

I think it is only 30 miles from Cleveland out in Amish Country. Seems like it would be a good day trip. Or we can do "Wagon Wheels and Automobiles" Trains or Packards...how can you go wrong! Hi Mac! This sounds like a fun trip! Well within our 'distance comfort level'. Put Lou and Sharon down for the event. Hotel with pool and hot tub would be nice. We will try to come up with some fun ideas in the area which may be of interest. I'll talk to my brother who lives in Chardon, Ohio for some ideas. (if you don't mind.) |

After checking with hotels & motels, I think I've found a nice one that will meet most peoples needs. It's a Courtyard Marriott, about 9mi. from the Rock. It has a pool, spa & workout room. They have a nice patio out back that we can use to get together after we get back from the day's events. After meeting with the sales rep, I got the rooms for $85.00 a night. There are places close by to meet for breakfast, if we want. I'd like to give the rep. some kind of numbers, so we can start getting a block of rooms. So, if you just think you might attend this event, please post your name now. Rod & I hope we have a good turnout for this event. It's gonna be a fun weekend. |

Going to meet with the sales rep. tomorrow to sign the contract for the hotel block of rooms. As soon as I sign the contract, you can start booking your room. Instead of just a room at the Courtyard, I got the sales rep to give everyone a suite next door, for the same price ( $85.00). The hotel is updating the rooms & will be ready by the time our event is held. The suite has a full kitchen, fridge, stove, microwave, ect. We can bring in coolers, food, if someone wants to make snacks (for us guys) to enjoy by the outdoor pool. We also have the use of the indoor pool, weight room, next door at the Courtyard. I thought the suite would be a better fit for our group. I've got a block of 20 rooms booked. Can get more, if needed, but have to get 16 booked by Jan.31st. to get this price. I'll post info. where to call in a few days. Please book as soon as possible, so I can have a count. You can cancel up to 24hrs. before the event. This is going to be a great weekend..........thanks, Mac |
