We definitely were not going to be able make the Colorado event due to the amount of vacation we would have to use. It's too soon to commit, however we are tentatively planning on attending the VA event. We can combine this with our annual visit with my Mother in Martinsburg WV. |

Sorry guys. I spoke with MD Prowler today and he informed me that "the natives were getting restless".... LOL. I haven't been neglecting the Va.Beech 2008 event, but I have been really busy of late. I have two cars that have been accepted at Barrett-Jackson in January and with trying to prepare them ( detail) and my company has taken a growth spurt, and trying to do a few more things towards the Va Beech event, I have barely had time to take a breath. However.....things are progressing nicely. I am working on a hotel for the event. Naturally the fact that we are planning this event to be in July a beach front hotel is out of the question. No one in our group is going to want to spent $300.00 a night, so I am working on a hotel half way between Va. Beach and Norfolk that can accomodate the Kats, Kat trailers, and car haulers, and that we can get for less than $100.00 per night. I should have this information available in the next couple of weeks. I can guarantee all that attend, that you will have a very enjoyable time. We are planning to have two choices each day of locations and sites to see in the area. Two "East Coast Possee" members will lead two different groups each day to two different attractions. There is so much to see and do in this area, no one can possibly see or do all in a week. So you will be able to pick and choose what you would care to see most. We will have one opened day as well to be on your own. We are planning a week of entertainment for you, yet we want it to be a relaxed vacation for all who attend. Washington DC WILL NOT be on the itinery. We are planning to have all activities within a short drive for you. I know I do not like to drive several hundred miles to an event and then find I have to drive several hours each day to see one of the planned activities. I gather that most of you feel this way as well. Washington is about a 3 hour drive from where we will be staying, so for that reason, Washington will not be on this aggenda. We may consider another event another year that will take in the Washington/Maryland area. This doesn't mean that some of you can't drive up for the day, but be advised that I-95 North can often be a parking lot and that 3 hour drive one way can become a 6 hour drive one way. Just an FYI for those who were interested in Washington. I realize driving a bunch of Kats into DC and finding parking would be a real nightmare. Would a tour Bus to Washington be a cost effective possibility. I would love to visit the war memorials. Especially the Vietnam memorial. |

Sounds like a great time! There is a lot to see in Col.Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown for all the history buffs, and great shopping for all that like to shop,And many great places to eat as well. You also have Busch Gardens near by and Va.Bch. is about an hour to hour/half away depending on traffic. We have been there many times, different times of the year as well. Was there with the Prowler two years ago in Aug. and it was a scorcher 90+. Just some input to some of the attractions. Hope we can make this one! |
