My thought was to actually stay an hour or so out from Virginia Beach or Norfolk in order to avoid the constant traffic issues while still being close enough to go to.

The tomb of the Unknown Soldier is pretty cool and there would be parking available. Whatever you decide will probably work out. I would like to see the wild horses.
