Has anyone used the Prowler Stores PCM Tuning to supposedly add 25-35 more HP? (Not too fond of them) however I'd like to add more horses to the Kat.

I ordered a couple chips, and returned them, I didn't really see any difference. If you know of a true, chip mod that truly works Let me know, I'm interested in learning what others have done.

I already have a K&N Air intake, Flowmaster X pipe FX Exhaust, and G-Force Gears.

Save your money, there has been discussion on this multiple times and the general consensus is that the people at Mopar worked with others to ensure the OE part had squeezed out about all the power that was available at the time.
Since then I have heard of nothing that improves on the OE parts.
A set of gears, good headers, exhaust, and maybe a different intake filter are about the best you can do.

Other than that, you are likely wasting your time, money, and energy. JMO

IF you still need more. Invest another 30K or more and stick a V8 in it and do a lot of work to upgrade the transaxle.

Here are a bakers dozen of topics from this forum.
Read through them and make an informed decision.

lol...the cars not worth another 30k...I like it as it is. Thank you!
I have read a few of those post in the past about the chips.

I did learn something that I'll try:
Denso Iridum TT spark plugs #4707 & Removing the baffled ends of the exhaust, I changed the whole exhaust except for the tips. I was trying to keep it looking stock as much as possible.

There was a lot of people trying to improve the performance in the beginning and doing a search you should be able to find the results. None of them could come up with a real power adder....... The supercharger from Paxton was probably the best it got, but they had issues with keeping the belts on it....

Save your money, drive it as a cruiser, if you want to go fast buy a SRT 4 and put a stage 3 kit on it. My buddy has ran 11.86 in the 1/4 with his....... Actually I think a Prowler with a stage 3 SRT 4 engine would be the way to go to make an extremely fast car...... 500 LBS lighter than the neon and a whole lot more room to put that engine in than a V8

The Paxton Supercharger was the way to go...there were belt issues but Paxton sent me another pulley and the dealership I was dealing with at the time installed it as "warranty work". I did have to replace the Supercharger computer modue a couple years ago (Thank You Bob Longstreth for all your help on that!) but all in all very happy with the performance difference and would do it again. Bad part is you just cannot get them now or I would do to my wife's as well.

RebelBob,

I have been searching for a Paxton Supercharger system, haven't had any luck.
This might be a long shot, I was hoping to find one on a Kat that may have been an insurance total do to rearend damage.

No luck as of yet.

I use it for cruising as normal, just wanted to give that non believer at the car shows a run for there money, since they always give me grief about a V6...lol

They will never know what its like to get SMILES per Mile ! !

Patience and Perseverance will pay off in the end.
Just continue to look and inquire. Eventually you will find what you are in search of. It may not be tomorrow or next week, but eventually you will find it if you are determined to.

Well if you want a supercharger then pulling the engine and adding forged pistons/rods will be in order. Not to mention all the the fuel/ignition system re-calibrations you'll have to do on a dyno.

Best bet is to send ECM to B&G Performance and they will tweak the factory calibration(s). Never the less there is only so much that even they can do as our stock system is just about giving us all it can.

Gateway classics listed as Louisville Ky showroom is actually in Memphis Indiana, less than 10 miles from my house showed that had a supercharged Prowler for sale...... Don't know if they still have it, had planned on going just to check it out...... If you find a car with one, you could buy the car and swap SC, or sell your current car and keep the SC car...... There was one in Louisville a few years back that had been owned by Ed Mc Mann ( Johnny Carsons sidekick) nephew , had SC and some body mods. Don't know if the one at Gateway is the same car or not.

That may be the one that Bob Masters was selling. He told me he was taking it to IND on consignment.

I am very familiar with Bob's car, Bob is the second owner, he purchased it in 2015 at that time the Kat had 9K miles on it. The original owner had passed away and his wife was selling it, With a friends help. I totally missed out on this car back in 2015.

It also had matching black go kart. Everything has been modified except for adding G-Force Gears, do to the Paxton Super Charger.
The Paxton Supercharger even has its own custom Air Intake on the marker lights.

I was a little disappointed to see it go back up for sale along with the current price.

If someone would purchase my Kat, I would totally make him an offer and bring that Kat back to FL. I Love that Car!!

To echo CataTonic's comments on 1/6/19, I sent my ECM to B&G Performance and would do it again! This was prompted by a P0601 Error in August 2017. Not only did they eliminate the error code but tweeked the calibration so the car just seems to run better. Not only that, but it passed CAL Smog Certification last month! Very pleased with the results.

So I reached out to Bob, he seems to want closer to the Gateway Classics pricing since he has tricked out the engine compartment with the after market chrome parts.

Plus I would have to sell my Kat first before I made Bob an offer.

Scott did you do that ECM Clearing on the Prowler or the Nissan like Larry mentioned?

Since they have it on consignment he is probably obligated to them till he gets it back that if it sell he still has to pay them. Not sure what the commission is, seems like he was asking 35k for it before it went to them.
