Other than K&N performance oil and air filters, does anyone know of a performance chip, or other low-cost performance booster for my stock engine? I have spent a long time on-line and none of the vendors list Prowlers. Also, I realize air-in must also be air-out to maximize HP...therefore, how about free-flow exhaust manifolds etc? ------------------ |

gwtbox, you will get more replies by people much more informed than me but I will start it off. A lot of people have switched to Borla Exhaust and other exhaust systems. I went to straight pipes. You supposedly are better off having an H-pipe in the exhaust, also. There are after market gears available. Look at the bottom of the menu on the left and it lists vendors. These are vendors who supply Prowler after market parts. To search for a specific item you can do a search by clicking on the search icon on the upper right of your screen and filling in the blanks. I hope I have been some help. ------------------ |

Check out the Prowler Parts Index at http://www.prowleronline.com/partindex.php There are several vendors that offer intakes, exhausts, gears, superchargers, nitrous and other items. Probably the best low cost set up is to go with gears, exhaust and intake. The intake and exhaust will get the air in and out quicker. The gears will help make the car quicker by counter acting the driveline loss from the inefficient transmission. After that, the options are nitrous, super charger and a few other offerings. |

This is an "oldie but goodie" that I posted to the "chip" section a few months ago. I hope that it provides you with a few alternative options that are affordable. Well boys, I just wanted to let you know that once again, I am ready to assist by offering a high performance product at significant costs savings to POA members. You may remember that I introduced the plastic gear set that had a 7,000 tooth design (3 gold teeth) that increased RHP to over 500! The gears sold for only $129 and included a 2 mile warranty. What a deal. We sold a ton of these for 1/4 mile runs to Gary. Anyway, my "crack" engineering department has developed the new "Tater Chip" for your Prowler. This chip is far less expensive then the competition and offers many unique features. We currently have two versions available for immediate delivery. Version one, the rippled one with onion and sour cream flavor will really set you back on your feet. This "Tater Chip" sells for on $.79 and comes with about forty spares. It can be custom programmed to include various options that are user changeable. We also have version two, the barbecued version that really will put some kick into your old two step. This beauty is guaranteed to add significant power to your pucker string! The price is only $.99 and also includes several spares. Give some thought to these two alternatives and remember that a purchase from me also includes a 10% tax deductible donation to the 115 year old Prowler owner's fund. I have been using these "donations" to keep me in "Hungry-Man" TV dinners and Lumber-Jack ribbed condoms. At my age, they make great savings banks! If you have any significant interest in actual performance figures, my friend Billy-Bob Bodine, a fellow Prowler owner and founder of the Billy-Bob Bodine Home for Unwed Mothers in Menlo Park, California, has made some real fast runs and is still alive to talk about it. Gotta go as my medi-mail prescriptions for mental control drugs have come in at my post office box and I want to start my medication prior to the weekend as I am expecting a significant dating campaign to start with some young Home Depot fillies.
