I just dropped of one of the cars today. Ken said he should have the "chip" done in a few days. I also talked to him about doing a Ken bell super charger kit fpr our cars. He is going to talk to the owner about it. It would require a hood scoop, which, our cars do need more engine compartment venting anyhow, that would not only look good but work well also. In my opinion, the Ken Bell super charger works over all, dramatiicaly better then the Paxton, so I think the speed "boys" would love to have this option for their Kats. I think he'll need a cash deposit to produce this for around 10 units. SO... those who truly want some POWER, step up, nows the time! ------------------ |

Hey Everybody! Just wanted to first thank Todd Cameron for letting us test one of his Prowlers. We have the car here (for real, see, it's on the dyno ready for testing first thing Tuesday Am)! It takes us about a day to prepare the car for testing. We'll be checking things like air/fuel ratio, vacuum, spark, temperatures and a few other parameters so we can get some comparative data before and after our re-tune. Since you are supposed to run premium fuel only, we expect DC already has a pretty aggressive spark curve to begin with, so they may already have the engine at MBT (Maximum Brake Torque). Ahhh, but there's many other hidden little zeros and ones we can move around a bit to squeeze some more out, so stay tuned! Regards, Kenne Bell |

Todd - after you drive your black kat a few times can you get back back in one of the others and give us some detail of the "seat of the pants" difference. It will be interesting to compare with the dyno results! Thanks Marty |

Ken Bell, I'm interested in your pcm upgrade. Would it be the same for a supercharged Kat? |

I mught have to wait a few weeks to get mine upgraded. Unfortunately, I got a tire off of the read and spun into a pasture. Now I have to get some body work done that I really didn't plan on. Hopefully I won't have to drain the bank to get the thing back together. Cracked the front fenders and the lower kick panel on the passenger side. Also put a small dent in the door. Not a fun thing to have happen, but at least I didn't get hurt or hit a cow! |

my guess......less than 15HP came out of it. If it was more, (like 20+HP) we would've probably heard by now. Unless Todd is too busy to post the next day results that were emailede to him b/c he is enjoying his drive of 50+HP!!!!!!! JMO |

I thought I read on another post that Todd said the HP increase was 12. I will see if I can find that post again. |

Hey Everyone! We know everybody is waiting for the results on Todd's car. It's been delayed because of the holidays. We have a lot to do right before year-end, so please hang in there. The preliminary was +12 to +15 horsepower at the shifts which makes it feel much better. We conducted some temperature tests with the "open element" filter which you'll be surprised by the results. We'll get everyone the final results hopefully before the end of the week. Happy New Year! Kenne Bell |

Congratulations to Jim Bell and Ken in getting great coverage in the current (Winter 2003) issue of Mopar Now! on your Blowzilla twin screw supercharger and Optimizer II programming being chosen by Performance West for their custom 5.7L Hemi Ram 2500. That is one hot ride. |

I can attest from month's of very satisfied use that 1-2 and 2-3 shifting is much firmer/quicker at all speeds; even driving in grocery getter mode feels and sounds better. The 3-4 shift remained soft but IMO due to it running at near half the fluid pressure to the clutch packs by OEM flow control not PCM programming. |

The price sounds rigth but I am still going to wait on the actual results before I jump in with both feet. Todd said the difference was noticable but not significant. I still don't understand what kind of actual performance gain we can expect. Also if I remember correctly the last performance chip that was tested by Mike adversly affected the idle and and also had performance issues with the AC on. I would like to hear from Todd about the drivabiltiy of his Kat. |

I've managed to loose my computer... so until a new one arrives I'll not be able to post very often. The Black Kat drives just fine. Until the RPM's come up on the shift point, it doesn't seem to have made much difference. The "butt" dyno says I've agained about as much as when I put on the Mac Air Cleaner. it is still slower then the 01's ( my black is a 2000 with the older torque converter). HP does cost $, you will have to see if it is worth it for you. I would say right at shift point tho, you notice the differnce, "butt dyno" says around 9-12 HP. Ken said it showed 12 HP at that point in gain on their dyno. ------------------ |
