I just talked to Maisto. There's good news and bad news. The bad news is that they are raising their price not the three cents estimated but four cents per car. I will hold the $57 per case delivered price. As a result, I will continue to accept PayPal, but ask if you would send me a check when the time comes. There is much more good news. They will build the cars in Deep Candy Red. I have to obtain written permission from DCX plus supply paint codes and a sample. They have also lowered their minimum to 15,000 cars. That's 209 cases. We are currently have commitments for 158 cases, so we're getting close. They have also TENTATIVELY agreed to additional print on each card. We will add something like "An exclusive color for the Prowler Owners Association." It has to be font only in one color, no logos. They are quoting 13 weeks from the placement of the order. That would be delivery in mid-June if we ordered today. I would like to be able to place our order by the end March. That way we will have at least half the summer to enjoy them. While this isn't the last call, if you're at all interested please let me know. As soon as we reach 209 cases I will place the order. Kariedan requested two cases of Dark Blue and samthejeepman requested one. I should be able to honor your requests when the shipment arrives. These are the last that I can fulfill. |

Thanks BlackKat. Dave, I'll accept PayPal. I may direct some payments to CJ's account rather than mine. I pay a fee. She doesn't, but can only withdraw $500 in any thirty day period. We're within striking distance, more than two-thirds of the way to our goal. I'll contact DCX regarding the written approval and color sample. I'd like to be able to deliver these to everyone early in June. |

We're currently at 168 cases against a 209 case minimum. I'm hoping that we can find people interested in the final 41 cases by the first week of April. DCX has provided the color chip and authorization. This will put expected delivery in mid-June. If anyone is on the fence, now is the time to express your interest. No payment is required until the cars are ready to ship. Once we hit the 209 case minimum, I will place the order. |

Sno, The Prowler store is not an actual store and I don't think they "stock" anything. They try to co-ordinate between the POA folks and some vendors to make items available that we would not be able to obtain otherwise. CAPhil would probably have to pony up the $ 2000. I am not sure about any of this, this is my impression of how it works. Hopefully CJ or CAPhil will see it and straighten me out. |
