OK - The Wife and I are booked into the Doubletree for Friday night, and I Fed Ex'd my registration to Debbie yesterday, so I'm good to go...

Will see you guys at the Starbucks on Harbor at 5:30 AM. I assume that's somewhere close by the hotel...???

If you guys want to have a canopy for some shade during the day, I will have The Wife toss our EZ Up into the Durango and bring it to the show later in the morning (she's not what you'd call an early riser...)

Lemme know...

While doing some errands tonight in my Prowler, I heard a clicking sound coming from my right front tire. I found a short (but just long enough) sheet metal screw with a washer attached in the tread area of the tire. I didn't think it went far enough into the tire to cause a flat but while returning home, my low tire light came on and then the warning bell also came on. I checked the air pressure when home and sure enough, a flat right front!

I have a busy day at work tomorrow but will see if I can get the time to have the tire repaired. If not, I will need to get the repair done on Saturday morning at 8:00 or 9:00 AM when the tire shop opens. I will then drive at a safe and sane speed to the Orange County Fairgrounds to join all my friends at Cruisin' for a Cure.

While I will admit that I think some people in our crowd are crazy to meet for a car show at while it's still dark outside,,,I did not put the screw in my tire just to get some extra sleep.
I'll bring a receipt for the tire repair.

Be sure you have them include your vin #...just kidding

We will save you a spot Larry. No need for the receipt.

Sorry, I have changed my cell # again: 714-679-3982 and I hope this is a keeper...

I tried!
I finally was able to get time to take a lunch at 3:15 today. Went straight to the tire shop and tried to get the repair done. No Dice!

I'll be there when the tire shop opens tomorrow at 8:00 AM to get the flat repaired. I'll then head for the fairgrounds and meet everyone there.
I'm guessing I'll be there at about 10:30 AM.

Please be sure to save a place for Bonnie Summerlin and John. They will be bringing their Prowler and the 1/4 scale Prowler on its trailer. Don't worry about me, I'll park wherever I find a space.

Thanks to all of you who participated in this event. A special thanks to Binh for the Starbucks arrangements and doughnuts and to Larry for promoting the event among southern California Prowler owners.

I hope that I might be able to participate in many future Prowler events with my new Prowler friends!

Gary,

Thanks for bringing this event to our attention.
Everyone told me how much they liked it and asked that we do it again next year. It was very well organized and for a great cause. Count me in for next year.

I just want to thank all of the POA members who were at this event for their hospitality! This was the first event we have attended with the new car, and you all made us feel really welcome.

We had a great time, and are looking forward to seeing all of you at the next event. Hope it won't be too long...

Thanks again.
