Count me in also. You guys are really missing out if you meet at 7 am. Don't let Larry fool you. He really is an early morning guy, likes to watch the sun rise. I say meet Larry at 5 am. Its well worth it to watch him try to function that early in the morning.LOL |

I don't really like gettin up early unless I'm Fishin or Prowlin, and this show opens to participants at 5:30 A.M. If we want good parking, I reccomend we get thereby no later than 6:30. I see that they have reserved special areas for P.T and corvetts, but not for Prowlers so I guess they'll wait and do that when we decide to get there. The show opens to the public at 8:00. What do ya think? |

I agree. Please scroll up to Binh's message of 8/24/02 and mine that follows on 8/26/02. We were arguing for an early start. I will just have returned from Europe and won't feel like getting up at 4 or 4 :30, but I am sure willing to do it to help assure that the Prowlers get positioned properly from a parking standpoint. But, whatever the consensus is will work for me. I'm easy! Anxious for the event and looking forward to meeting all of you. Thanks for participating! Gary (a Blueshirt on 8/28/02) |

OK...Here's the plan: I've talked to Monte tonight and with his previous experience with the show, his advice is to be there the early the better for parking space. I have found the closest Starbucks as possible and only minutes away from the fairground. Let's all meet at 5:30am at Starbucks (they will be open at 5:00am) and will leave for the fairground promptly at 6:00am no later. Starbucks Coffee Co Todd, Tony, and anyone else, If you'd like, you guys are welcome to spend the night at my house since you guys are quite far from the show. Maybe we will call Monte and have him over for dinner or something. Todd, call me and let me know. So, now, the stage has been set. I know it's early but for a great cause...See you guys there ------------------ |

It looks like I will be joining you, but I've been so busy at the office I haven't signed up yet, and haven't made the hotel reservation. I'll try to register online tomorrow so I don't have to waste time at the gate while I am still asleep. Hotel reservations require involvement by Wife, who may/may not be joining me Friday night/Saturday morning/Saturday afternoon/never. I'll try to tie the loose ends up tomorrow. If I stay at the Doubletree, what time and where do we meet? |

I just talked to someone (Debbie's assistant or something) about registering today, and that's no problem. However, he did say that A LOT of participants (A WHOLE LOT) are going to be getting in line FRIDAY AFTERNOON at the entry gate and sitting there all night to get in first. So, no matter how early we get down there, we're gonna be sitting in a line that sounds like it's gonna be pretty long. If this motivates anyone to change the meeting time to an hour when human beings are typically awake (or nearly so), I'm all in favor... He also said that a couple of early arrivals can rope off a larger area for later arrivals, but that might get complicated, depending on how good a count you guys have. |
