The 31" tall tire would raise the rear of your car by one inch and your speedometer would read slower than you are actually traveling.

I had Mickey Thompson 31X16.50/15 Sportsmans on my double COPO Camaro years ago (Before it was known to be and documented as one).
It was "Mini Tubbed" and the wheel openings were slightly radiused.

Real, Functional Hooker Sidepipes, Dana 60 w/ Mark Williams Axles, Tied Frame & 8 Point Cage.

Those Mickeys were a super bad idea!! Car looks animal but drives real bad! Since I put these on yesterday I have put 200 miles on the car and have been diving into turns like a Ferrari, dancing the rear tires on the edge!! Much better this way. Larry, that wonderbar is no joke, great job on that one! Running 28 lbs out back and 30 up front. It is a completely different car now. It is a driver now it feels planted to the ground. Going in tomorrow for a A/C service, she blows cold but I want it gone thru. I wish I could hit Tenn. but I am just too slammed over here. Next one.

Thanks 😊 she’s in for a coolant flush, a/c charge and a good once over. I’m absolutely making her my daily driver down here.

Coolant was filthy and the A/C had less than half of what it needed!!! I got busy tonight, I’ll pick it up tomorrow morning. I trust the shop that has it. I’m going to put some serious mileage on her this weekend. I’m up in the air about the timing belt. I’m going to wait until probably 25-30k cars always been in a climate controlled environment. I think it’ll be alright.

When I had the water pump and belt changed a few years ago, I made the most of the visit and had the coolant system flushed, the brake fluid flushed, and the transmission serviced including new fluids and filter.

The only issue was when replacing the transmission filter, the exhaust system needed to come down to get the pan off.
IF I had to do that again, I might just choose to simply have things flushed out and leave the filter alone.

My transmission fluid is 1/2 changed from when I did the gears last year the fluid was clean, red and super slick. I am going to leave it alone until I do the timing belt. Weather looks promising this weekend. I have a few friends who live out on the east coast, I might have to take a ride across the state and really see how she runs. Just worried about the 12 gallon gas tank!

Sounds great Chris, you are finally going to take her on that cruise thru the Everglades eastbound. You should be good if you fill it up before turning on to the highway. It is (on average) only an 80 mile stretch. If you’re overly cautious, you can always keep a small and flat backup gas canister in your trunk and if you’re coming from Naples, there is a Marathon station before you get onto the highway. The Miccosukee Service Station in the middle of Alligator Alley is in any case, a comforting thought.

Take some pics along the way and do not scratch the underside of the nose on the skin of an alligator.

Enjoy, Kees

Thanks Kees! Hope all is well with you and your family. I was just informed Mercato show that was rained out is this weekend. I’m going to cruise across next weekend most likely. I have a few friends that hit every show, they’re constantly asking me to go after I went to one. I kind of feel obligated to go since I was going to go to the previous one that was rained out. I’m not much of a car show guy but it’s an early one so I guess I’ll go.

Never got around to picking her up today. Dad comes by about 8am says he wants to make his dock furniture hurricane proof. Ok, we pulled up the boards and mounted stainless steel brackets to them in the correct locations (8) reattach the boards but not with the deck screws into the aluminum channel. We put hardware in the rails and attached the boards the furniture is bolted to with 1/4-20 stainless hardware. I just got home, it was in the 90’s today it still is actually. 8 hours on a dock in the sun. I’ll pick her up first thing tomorrow morning. I’m shot.

Just picked her up. Saying she runs phenomenal is an understatement!! A/C on 92 degrees out cruising. Temp gauge never even made it half way!! Top up, A/C cranking she blew the tires of 1st and 2nd gear in DRIVE. Very, very happy.

Alprowl, thank you. I appreciate the help you guys have provided. Alrtg thank you as well for your help and advice with the exhaust. There were a lot of you guys involved if I forgot anyone I’m sorry. I am very grateful for all of you. I’m still in shock that this project is finished and she’s my daily driver. Life is good 😊

Playin with these again! If any of you guys ever thought about getting a trike, do it! My wife and I used to have so much fun in NY with ours but there was no room, I gave em to a friend of mine. Just got these 2 the other day we are having a blast. I am just lubricating everything again and giving everything a once over.

Put about 22-2300 miles on her since she’s built. I figured I’d put her up and give her a good once over. The car’s been phenomenal considering the amount of work she’s had done. A few hiccups but all in all I couldn’t be happier. I am getting a little bored tho. Hemi might be sooner than I thought 😉

I’ve got to rub a few spots with some fine cut primer and then put a good coat of wax on her too.

Drivers side door panel isn’t right. I’m going to pull it later and see what the story is in there. Sounds loose when I close the door.
