Spoke with a guy at the local car show today,,,,last week sold his 1999 purple Prowler with 1,800 miles on it.

Let me say that again,,,,1,800 miles on it.

Stock,,flawless car he claimed, and no reason to doubt him.

Said he was trying hard to get $29K out of it,,but his countless offers over the past two months ranged from $20K to $22K.
When this couple came by and offered $25K,,,he jumped on it to move the dust collector car out.

I'm happy there are so many low mileage cats sleeping in their beds tonight.....By the time I'm ready for another, they ought to be down in the mid teen$...

Happy Prowling........ I mean Buffing!

One group that is not represented here and also takes abuse at times, are the guys who want to keep their miles low but still want to attend events. So they trailer their car/cars around.
You gotta love those guys. They have it all. Pristine cars, friends coming out their ears, manly trucks, tricked out trailers. That is the true meaning of life.

True, so true!

Ho Hum 58-31 unders have it and the gap continues to widen. We won't call the election so as not to make the beater drivers angrier than they already are. Remember the fall Mecum Auctions some sold in 40s and many in high 30s so if you find right buyer you'll do well. That's a real scientific example Larry. You're full of petutties. Buff away guys while the beaters beat.

I believe that it is a good thing that over half of the Prowlers out there are lower mileage examples because that means that when those of us that drive their cars may wear them out, there will always be Prowlers available to replace them with. As for prices, right now, very few cars are sold for more than $30,000 and I think that it will take many more years before Prowler values will exceed the sticker prices that they had when new. So that means there will be affordable Prowlers available for the foreseeable future. Good news for everyone.

Thanks, almost done with it, just trying to get a rack system up front for the three Go Karts. Currently carries 2 Prowlers, 2 Prowler Trailers up high, and 2 Prowler Go Karts and a Kart Trailer up front.

That's a good point. Just because there are low mileage Prowlers guarantees nothing if the owners don't want to sell em. So theoretically after the drivers drive them into the grave they can only get a low mileage Prowler if guys like TLRandall want to sell. Try prying his away. Soooo unless I miss my guess that could potentially mean Prowlers go way up in value cause the low mileage guys won't sell to those abusive drivers. Good news for Efrem and bad news for AC cause no one will sell him a low mileage Prowler. Larry you're in trouble now.

But remember your gonna have to be able to afford a low mileage prowler. ...so if half (approx. 5,500 )are in the scrap yard and the other half are tucked away in the garage I think the value will double or even tripple. So keep driving leadfoots

This very well might happen, but I don't think you or I will be around to see it. I have one above and one below, so I have about 40 years before I have to buy another one. So I don't have to worry about paying you guys your outrageous prices.LOL
Just remember because 5500 of you guys keep your mileage low, many with low mileage will always be for sale cheaper because they need the money, just like now.

Efrem, are you going to be around 40 or 50 years from now and still own a Prowler to realize this double or triple value that you are talking about? As an example, I bought a 1970 Plymouth Cuda new for $4000 and now that car would be worth about $80,000 if I had kept it and not driven it. How many people do that, very few. And you have to be young when you buy it. I don't know how old you are, but I assume you are over 30, Efrem. So, do the math. Most of us will not live long enough to realize the kind of profit you are talking about. JMO. Leadfoot Don.

You high milers have to replace your cars. We will already have them. We're $30K up on you. That's not even counting all the gas you put in that poor car.

We both have good buffing and driving memories, but yours cost you $30K.

Don't shoot the messenger.

Lets face it, these cars are 13-18 years old. To be in the above group you only had to put 2000 miles a year on the Prowler. Going by Brian's 125000 miles posted above, which still looks and runs good. We have about 50 years before we wear them out and even then, maybe just a engine and trans rebuild. let's revisit this in 50 years and see how it turns out.LOL

C'mon now most of this stuff is tongue and cheek. I'm certainly not serious. This thread has been more of the fun ones we've had in along time. Just look at the responses. I thought everyone was having a good time with this one for a change. If I'm wrong let's flush it now before this one too turns nasty. AC don't work too hard on your response cause I'll agree with you now since I really do consider you a friend on this site. I like to ball bust but if it really is getting anyone truly mad let's flush the damn thing down the terlet.
