quote: Always "someone else' fault", must not have any mirrors up there at the northern beach house, eh. Interesting, getting rid of any one particular individual would "ruin his site". WOW ... screams of self importance. What do they say about someone when that person points their finger at practically EVERYONE else as being the culprit and the problem ... Back to Topic .... Since many of us collectively agree that Prowler is not only a modern day hot rod, as stated as such in early Plymouth promotional material, but also a rolling work of art, placing them in a garage to admire, much like art on the wall, isn't that unrealistic either. 2001 Black Tie. Bought August 2005 with 2500 miles. First 900 miles to drive it home to Dallas. May 2015 just turned over 96,000 miles. Posted by an old timer that is too busy to read 13 pages of BS. I skipped most of it, but it seems that one poster keeps stirring the pot. Now days .. There are newer folks stirring the pot. I remember when it was fibertop. What ever happened to him?? I think I could have liked him if he would have not have been so sarcastic. Gary, please update the new stats with another "over". I appreciate you keeping us informed. |

WELCOME,,,new potential buyers: I'm convinced it's now official,,,,,94% of Prowler owners don't drive their cars much for fear of a window regulators breaking,,,hood strut failure,,,fuel pump giving out,,,OEM battery finally dying,,,transmission sensor failures,,,lower ball joint/suspension failure,,,pinched wires near the fuse box,,,bad ground connections,,,too much cabin wind with the top down ,,,flaking/pitting of chrome wheels happening,,,center cap breakage,,,CDs getting stuck,,,front shocks leaking,,, radiator overheating issues,,,fear of replacing rear rotors,,,vertical stabilizer going bad,,, rough run-flat tire ride,,,NO ECM units available from Mopar,,,failing timing belt/heater hoses/radiator hoses,,,etc (I'll add to the list as time moves forward). Analyzing the above, I've came to the conclusion that the best place and way to enjoy ownership of a Prowler, is storing them in a garage as to avoid any catastrophes while being away from your house. As the mounting, low-mileage cat list continues to grow and the numbers posted,,,I'll copy and paste this post repeatedly so that any future prospective Prowler buyers reading this thread can see what Prowler ownership is all about,,,knowing that they also will be buying a garage queen vehicle > not to be driven, for home show use only! Single handedly, this repeated posting may bring down the value of the car to future buyers? Now,,,aren't you happy with your seldom driven, piece of art? I'm sure you are....... I'm an old timer here (from way back), I drive my cats as much as possible (no way are they garage queens), still love them, still keep in touch with my Prowler owner friends, attend events as much as possible, still post here (maybe not as much as I used to as I do have a life beyond this website), ignore the crap as much as possible. |

OMG!!! Somebody sent me a pm suggesting that I should read everything. If I would have, my post would have been more credible (as the PMer suggested) and I would have known what happened to fibertop. He just changed his name. I am hoping that from deep inside, we can find the kind person that must be dwelling inside one of those names. Time to go drive ole 096 and push for that 100,000 mile mark. |

Thank you for the greeting, Gary. We are doing well and we are getting the Prowler out more. It has been a garage queen for the last 4 years with only about 3000 miles in that time. A note to my friend Roger whom I accused of stirring the pot and in my opinion, he does. BUT... Look at this old timer that came along and what did I do??? I stirred the pot. Shame on me. I apologize. Not my nature, but I am human. From when he first arrived back in 2010 or 11, I have considered Roger to be my friend, because I have accepted him for who he is. When he was fibertop, he was a bit of (trying to think of a nice word to describe my friend) a rabolrouser. He causes us to think outside of the box. I believe the beachcat version is a little bit of a gentler and kinder version, but still the champion pot stirrer. |

Here's a thought: Let's lower the Black Taboo level to 18K. That would put myself and many others in the over category AND put the overs, over the top. No more insecurities for the over 25Kers. Who decided that 25K was the definitive mileage anyway? I don't remember voting on it. |

This is a 15 page thread, we can't move the goal line at the end of the game to accommodate the losing team. It was 25k over and under and score is 77 below and 48 above. I'll defer to Coach Effichek for the pep talk. |

CJ, That's not counting the other Prowlers that you've driven extensively like the So-Cal Prowler or the Paxton Prowler that you took on Larry Lord's Route 66 event or the various company cars. |

We have to hit golfy with a 5,000 mile penalty. ..he drove the prowler before the paint dryed on his center caps |
