I told my mom that all the time about her 1981 Imperial. She got it Oct 21 1980

Today it has 15,300 miles and still has the original tires but it has many problems from not being driven

Might be better to get it out and enjoy it and maybe he will be able to enjoy a well maintained car with some miles rather than a car with electrical issues, dryer out seals and hoses from lack of use

Basic statistics thus far:
Considering data are approximations on many points. I'm guess not any better than two significant digits: In Minitab program:

Mean = 26,037 or 26,000 miles
Median = 20,010 or 20,000 miles

95% confidence that the mean is between 18,938 and 33,135

29 of the 47 data points are 25,000 or below (or 61.7%)

Had it since it was new---27,000 on it now---hard to sell when there are so many low mileage cars out there. It is amazing how many folks have Kats that they don't drive. I only drive mine in good weather, which is rare in Cleveland, yet I still manage to rack up some miles.
