Looks like I have a few min. to start the story about the first ever Mile Hi Prowler Event... Prowlin Colorful Colorado 2008... Remember this Event was put on by The Mile Hi Prowlers with no help what so ever from any outside help making it a NEUTRAL EVENT... Both sites had members show along with people who don't even have a Prowler yet and all the politics was left to the side and it was all about Prowlers.. Prowler owners from all over displayed our Colorado Event Plates.. Some want to be Prowler owners, or use to be Prowler owners showed.. Some that wanted to know what goes on at these Prowler events were all treated as Prowler People.. The 8 months of planing/meetings/arrangements by the 28 heavily involved Mile Hi Prowler Members would be displayed in the never done before extended days to accommodate the Early Birds clear to the Late Birds... Our goal was to treat every one as a equal no mater what color your car was, what windshield banner you displayed, who you were or what site you play on, what religion you practice, how much or how little money you had.. There was NO BASHING done against anyone despite the roomers that were started earlier about guns or fights, or vandalism to ones property.. No banners being displayed with negative messages, or a matter of fact not even any web site banners were involved, just the Mile Hi Prowler banner. The Mile Hi Prowlers stayed NEUTRAL and didn't push anything on anyone and were not convinced to do so.. NO, I repeat No Monies were made under the table and everything was either done at cost or one of our Mile Hi Prowlers stepped up and payed for it out of his pocket or donated the time to make it or make it happen.. We figured that the money saved by us by not having to drive to a event would be pitched in and spent on our guests to let them have a special time or to reduce the cost of something that we were doing... Money was raised at the banquet auction and will go to Rocky Mt. Food Bank and T.A.P.S. as the Auctioneer was second to none and had some great stories to make us laugh besides raising money for charities.. $6,000 plus was raised and all members that have been going to events around the states said they had never seen anything like it... Thanks go out to Larry Tolar ex State Patrol Officer/ U.S. Vet, and now a Professional Speaker. He donated his time FREE because the money was going to T.A.P.S. Thanks go to Members of The Mile Hi Prowlers, the Vender's that gave us stuff FREE, Guests that not only gave stuff away to be auctioned but bid on stuff that could be bought some were else at a cheaper price.. THANKS! With enough planning, lots of help, good weather, luck, and people with good attitudes, things can go great and they sure did for us.. Will start with the SUNDAY Early Birds as the event was stretched to accommodate them that wanted to travel over the weekend to save vacation days... Thanks guys for coming early and Prowler Playing with the Mile Hi Prowlers and they were all treated to FREE tickets to the Alcohol Funny Cars and Dragsters and parking by the Mile hi Prowlers... Some have never seen The Drags before nun the less Alcohol Machines... Definitely and surprise to them at the speed and sound they make.... onecatnodog.... (Some of the pictures here were shown on another post by me to keep up interest in our event)...     |

Up lot parking for the early birds as they busted butt to get here on time so the 25 tickets would not go to waste.. Thanks Guys... I didn't keep them to long at the races and we left after about 4 hours....

Off we went back to the hotel for our guests to un pack and have a few drinks as Grant was showing up to give them there new Colorado Event Plates and to get ready fo dinner..     |

The guys put there plates on and then we sat by the pool and Drink a Few and B.S. until I have to go and pick up Susan as she is working and is home getting ready for dinner at the Keg...   |

Off to the Keg restaurant for dinner and the Food was SUPER.. We had the back room to ourself and were spoiled to no end....  Of course its nice to have a group that doesn't complain about anything and starved to boot... onecatnodog   |

Back to the Marriott after dinner as the Early Birds brought their own BOOZE... Apple Pie for desert, with fat tire as a chaser along with 99 bananas... Yum YUM! I promised not to show the shenanigans that happened the first night in the lot but I will show you just one of the neat storage compartments in Dave's trailer that we stuffed with emptys... What a find for him the next day as we brought in two trash barrels to unload them.. Maybe next time you wont miss a event, as the parking lot is half the fun.  |

All were recharged and raring' to go.. Roy and Fran had to join us in her Red Vette as Roy's Hemi Prowler wasn't done yet... Not to worry as I have been working on a 2001 Orange Prowler for about a month just in case his car wasn't finished... Line up in the parking lot and off we go to meet Captain Compass down the road...  |

A quick drivers meeting to make sure everyone was full of fuel and had a general idea on thinks that were going for the day....   Only to be changed like the bumbers on one of our Mile Hi Prowler's Bob's car to add in Red Rocks to the trip...  |

It was hard for us Mile Hi Prowlers not to smile as all these people from all over came to our Prowlin Colorful Colorado Event.. Thank-You all that showed no mater what you were driving, or were you were from... It's only a event if people come, and that you did... Prowlin a Mile Hi! onecatnodog  |

We pull off to wait for another Prowler to show as Capitan Compass(GRANT)called and he is close by and wants to join us.. Since we are so close to Red Rocks the plans were changed to hit there first to start the day... The Mile Hi Prowlers will change anything, any time, anywhere, just to make the cruise more fun. Our guests found this out at our extra long Prowler event... Red Rocks here we come....    |

The drive through Morrison, a great little party town and is the short cut to Red Rocks... Check out this garage with a view IN or OUT... This is Fire Marshall Bill's house... "Let Me Tell You Something" ....    |

What beautiful scenery! What a great country we live in! All the natural wonders one could ever want to see in one great nation! I'll bet a great time was had by all. Someday (read retired) I hope to be able to participate in a 'POA Western Adventure'. |
