Russell's a darn good cook and we sat by the fire and did somores, the tasty marsh mellow messy madness... MMMMMMM! We partied on into the night and talked about all the fun we have had and the real event hadn't started yet... Susan starts her Vacation on Thursday the BIG B.B.Q. DAY... Yea! So she won't have to miss out anymore day stuff... I will take this time to THANK all the Early Birds that made it here despite the HIGH price of fuel and having to cross the flooded area adding more miles and time to there trip.. I hope that you all enjoyed your selves as we loved sharing our state and stories with you all... I have made a bunch of new friends with this adventure, and hope some will join us or come meet us when Susan and I do our Sept. 2009 trip to Maine... Thanks again, John(onecatnodog)Collins and The Mile Hi Prowlers

Let the Main Event begin as it is opening day for The Prowlin Colorful Colorado Event... Rocky Mountain Hog Roasters were there at 6:30 a.m. and set up and Cookin... Had to check on them and it was good to see they were business as planed..    |

Some were here early like the Early Birds, most were coming in today and The Mile Hi Prowlers had a bunch to do to get ready for our event.. Some were still left over from the night before as the parking lot partying was starting to build nightly. Under this trailer looked like a great place to sleep last night. Actually, Dave and I meet up early in the morning as planed as I had to be there early to make sure things were going to be ready for the rest,and he had some wiring on his trailer to repair.. I brought some supply's from home and he had her fixed in a flash... He even returned my tools... Thanks Dave... |

The two trucks that were planed didn't materialize so man am I lucky that I had a Lil Red Beater and showed early to GET ER DONE... Looks like Jethro loaded it, but I stacked it high trying to only make 2 maybe 3 trips to Brighten and back as it's about half hour drive time one way and a hour load time... Unloaded my first load and thank goodness my helpers were starting to show so I put them to work... Don 409ed all the tables and chairs while Bob went back with me for another load... Grant kept our guests that were there already busy with a cruise.. The Mile Hi Prowlers going all directions with a common goal and that was to be ready and make sure that our guests were well taken care of.. You could feel the excitement build even with 3 hours of sleep from down loading the pictures from the day before... onecatnodog

Back with the second load unloaded and Don worked his cleaning magic. My wife Susan showed up and we were able to get a room, something my son has told me often. While at the front desk I asked about the registration layout and they said they were told that it wasn't to be done till 3:00.. I changed that as I had people showing and it was before noon so had them set up now and the girls went to work early, after I brought the Mile Hi sign in.. What a great job was done by Annie, Sandy and Pam and our Mile Hi Prowlers with the Registration and I had no idea just how much stuff, along with info. that was in the Gift Bag.. Must thank Hari and Doris for the use of this brand new RV. It was used as a office and for storage... Saved trips to the room, and still made 20....  |

JC, what a lousy picture!! It looks just like me, couldn't you do a little photoshop? I'm dazed and sweaty from pushing the luggage cart with you and Susan's luggage and my one bag from the lobby to our rooms. What did you guys have in those bags and boxes anyway? |

1,548 looks and the story goes on... I was just so busy, just before the B.B.Q. trying to answer guestions, showing people were to go. checking on the food and trying to greet all the specials guests that I didn't take many pictures at the time... But this man did, Charlie(Mr RX).... Thanks for sending them to me Prowler Pal....  |
