Will Farmers let you keep the mods? It would be a shame to see those nice parts end up in a scrap yard. While I am not partial to silver cars, I always liked the look of yours. Great looking combo of improvements! Glad you are here to prowl the board this holiday weekend! Kevin ------------------ |

you're in texas right? Do you have uninsured motorist coverage? If so, even if they can not find the person, it should not affect your insurance. It is what you paid for. glad you are OK. |

A deadbeat stealing a truck does not sound like the type that would have an insurance policy that your company could claim against. Glad that you are OK, but is the Kat totaled? |

First, I am so glad you did not take the full brunt of the collision, I hope no long term post collision injuries crop up! I am sorry at the loss of your prized possession, but sheet metal is eaiser to replace than a human life. |

Bradley - Glad you are Ok, must of been one heck of a ride! After reading what happened to you, I really thought that the cat would look worse than it does. I may have to drive over and take a look in person. Now pick your new color! |

....I have always admired that particular Kat....it was responsible for my Kats looking the way they do.....shame...I am just glad the article is about a dead Kat, not a dead Kat owner.... This message has been edited by tangled up in BLUE on 07-01-2005 at 01:27 PM |

Most importantly...YOU are ok!! If you didn't see it on the news...some guy here in Phoenix stole a pick up on Thursday and crashed it into the gates at Sky Harbor airport, and was driving along side jumbo jets on the runway!! |

WOW!!! I am overwhelmed by you guys AND Ladies. You are so kind. That's why I belong to this group. According to the adjuster at the dealer, the frame is broken. Part of the transmission is sticking out of the other side. Look at the right wheel in the rear view picture and you can see the angle the wheel is sitting. Even broke that brake rotor. The hood dosen't fit and the front wheels don't line up with rest of the car. The car was torqued so much that the glove box won't even close. When the smoke and dust cleared, the car was still running just as smooth as ever and the radio still playing the oldies station. I looked out my window as 3 people were looking inside to find the dead guy. I assured them I was OK, but needed a second to check all my body parts to assure they were still attached. My car came to rest about 5 feet in front of the vehicles waiting for the light to go the other direction. The car right next to me had 3 kids in it and they were crying because they thought I was hurt. I pulled 3 match box Prowlers out of the console for them and they were ok. I love this car!! A new frame could be put under it, but I'm glad that Farmers Insurance does not want to do that. It would require that a salvage title be issued (Not good for me). As I said, I am very impressed with the way the car protected me. Lots of good stuff is still intact. I can't do anything with the car until everything is settled with the insurance company. Just turned over 16,000 miles, and I got to do 7586 of them and was smiling for all of them except for the last 2 seconds and 50 feet of it. I may buy it at the salvage price if it is fair. My brother has a 30,000 sq. ft. warehouse I could put it in and strip it as needed. OR there are some salvage people already wanting to buy it as is. I would love to take the Prowler apart and send it all over the world to whomever needs it, but I spend about 12 hours a day now running my printing company. Crawling all over a Prowler would be good therapy, so I will seriously consider keeping the remains. I'll make that decision when the time comes and I'm off the good drugs provided by the doctor. At least I don't hurt while I'm popin those pills (good stuff). For those wondering... I'm keepin the POA license plate frame for sure. I'm wondering how a silver hard top would look on a Mulholland with 400 miles on it. A reverse "Blue Tie"? Sounds interesting. Thanks for listening, and being there for me. God bless you all!! Bradley.........how awful for the cat. but thank God that you are okay......let's hope someone finds the guy. Yeah, they're right......probably won't have insurance, but hopefully they could charge him with some kind of crime.... If you need help finding another silver, there are still some on DC's unsold list......contact me anytime. You're right too, about never knowing what will happen when you walk out the door every day.......always make sure that the ones you love know it every day. |
