I bought my first Prowler when I was 54, almost 55. I am really immature for my age, though.

Speaking of which, on a serious note, I saw that www.realrod.com offers a weekender hitch for the prowler. I didn't want to deal with the big towing trailer, but does anyone know if the weekender is a good value, useful, or cheaper anywhere else? Thanks for your replies and gracious welcome.

1) I never heard a complaint about the weekender...like the hard top...is a work of art.

2) You drive your car into Philly!?! if there was an icon for a full body shudder, I'd post it... I know Philly too well, and would maybe drive a Prowler into NE Philly at the most...that's about it....

Weekenders make a GREAT BEER Cooler!

Also I now think I am in the running for the youngest, last night me and my neighbor Stu ( some of you have met ) fired up 2 Bobcats and started to tear out a retaining wall and moving a hill! We had a audience of at least 15 people along with our wife's saying we were the biggest kids on the block and now we have the biggest dirt & rock pile to play with ( 1/2 his yard ). I learned how to do 360 wheelie in the Bobcat last night very cool.

Hi Gabriel and congratulations on your new Kat and making it all the way to 22. I believe I am the youngest Prowler owner. I got my Prowler right about Christmas last year and it made me as happy as a 2 year old on Christmas morning. AND I haven't come down from that high yet. Sooo, I am still 2... Eventhouth this year will be my 58th Christmas, I'll always have the Past Happy feeling when I get in my Prowler. WELCOME and ENJOY this great group of fine folks on POA. Brad

Thank you everyone for your welcomes and info on the weekender pack. Well time to go out prowling, I'm on the lookout for a better than stock radio, new hood shocks, and ceramic brake pads.

Also, with the roads around here in such terrible shape after the winter, I noticed the ride is a little rough. Probably normal, but is there any concern for a shock/strut check or replacement? Does anyone make aftermarket shocks for prowlers?

Welcome to the best group of YOUNG people and there "Kats". I got my weekender two years ago and have never taken it off. Figure with the small trunk space Helga and I can pack for a whole week using the weekender. It really makes a big difference. Congrats...

Congrats Gabe,
I purchased my 1st Prowler when I was 35. I loved it so much I turned around and purchased my 2nd Prowler when I was 36. Since then I traded my 2nd car in on a Viper. Both draw alot of attention and are a blast to drive.
Also the Weekender is a very important necessity when you go to the car shows.
Enjoy your car and feel very proud to own such a classic car at such a young age.
