Okay, I had a total of 10 DVD+R orders that went out earlier. I have sent 10 DVD-R to replace those who received DVD+R disks today. If all of a sudden you get another Priority Mail box, know that this means you were sent a DVD+R disk. The label on the box says DVD-R VERSION... So sorry about the headaches.. I think many have learned alot about DVD's this month.. If your DVD+R happens to work, then your blessed because now you have 2 of them. Keep the old one for a coffee placemat. I was sent a few emails asking if I could make an all prowler version with no or less owners. I think I can do that... I will work on that and do a pure Prowler car video. Please keep in mind for those considering ordering this DVD, do not be afraid to order.. All the DVD+R version disks have been chucked into the trash... Only DVD-R disks are going out which are the standard which can be viewed by all DVD players. As always, thank you all for your support!! LAter.. |

Dan, I received a (-)R in today's mail and I thank you for that. It was totally unnecessary since the other one worked once I picked up another DVD player. |

Dave, You are a great sport! I apologize you had to make an extra expense. I just try as much as I can to treat as I would like to be treated. I fail alot of the times but that only shows I'm only human... You don't realize how stressed I was over all this. The only way I found to get ride of this stress is to make it right and send everyone the -R version. Once I did this, the burden lifted. I am at peace now... Thank you for your support Dave!!!!!! Dan- Mine is a Sony DVPNS725P player that plays both -R and +R DVDs. Your Autographed #5 Stampede DVD works just fine for me. I had the + and - R problem last year and bought this Sony that plays them both. No more problems.... Buddy  ------------------ |

I got the new DVD today. It worked fine on my APEX player, but still wouldn't play on my Dell for some reason. I was hoping you would sign, date, and number it the same as the other one, but that's no big deal. I really figured it wouldn't be. I still have the original that is, and one day it'll be good to go on a new system, when I get cnote6's check for $150.  Thanks for resending, Dan. |

So here I had another scare and a new problem that I did not know how to address it initially from Pauley. Pauley Hines emails me and tells me;

Hey Ron, The first 20 I signed and dated.... You received the DVD-R version which will work on all DVD players... I think the real cheap ones like 10 or 20 dollar DVD players might run the risk of not running. If you want, you can send it back to me and I will sign, date and put the number it is. I got a mini database which tells me who has what number DVD. Just cover my shipping cost of $4.30 for priority mail and mail confirmation.

OH great... Pauley just got back from the doctor.. He said he followed my instructions and cut himself bad on the DVD case... This is turning into a real big nightmare and it was suppose to be fun... AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!! I give up.. Here is his email...

No wonder his top doesn't latch and his windows don't seal... He obviously doesn't know how to work the things right. I bet his doors don't lock either. (All safety features to keep him from getting locked inside the car.) |

Hey Dan - I just got back from two weeks of wqorking out of town and the DVD was waiting for me. I was about to email you when I saw the comments about the early ones not working. It would play on one of three comoputers (not on TV) but freezes up after several minutes. I will look forward to getting one of the new ones soon. From the few minutes or so can watch before it freezes up, it looks like you diod an awesome job of editing all the video you shot down to less than two hours. Marty |

Well I finally get to post after a few very busy days, DAN all I can say is "YOU THE MAN" I watched the DVD at C-notes not once but three times! I almost had to go back to the hospital I was laughing so hard! If you are sitting on the fence post about ordering this disc DONT WORRY! it is well worth it! I will give it the REAL ROD GUARANTEE if you buy it and don't like it for any reason, return the disc to me and I will apply the $50 to anything we sell! Dan - thanks for the tracking info. I couldn't wait until Tuesday so I took the DVD to my office and was able to watch it on a computer there. I wholeheartedly agree with the rave reviews. You certainly have shown that POA events are about more than cars, they are about people. Your editing and inclusion of various things that happened is fantastic. I can't wait to get the new disc and play it at home on the big screen. BTW - is John Davies still talking to you? ------------------  |

To All, This compilation of events I put together on this DVD is awesome. I just regret ever sending these DARN +R versions. It is a thorn on my side... Bob, Chris, Ron, and Marty, Thank you for your reviews... Now reading all this makes me want to make trailers yelling out the great reviews.. I wanted the DVD to hold not only the cars but the people because without the people you will not have cars. Thank you all again for your support!!! Later... |

Quite an interesting ad to say the least. I can't really blame 'em too much on this one tho. If I could find a buyer for mine, reducing the cost I paid for it, I'd sell it too. But sometimes it really gets rediculous. For example, this morning I also noticed a melted prowler model on ebay. Shipping was $6 and the starting price was about $3.95. The sad thing is, someone will probably buy it too. George Carlin mentioned once that if you nail 2 things together that have never been nailed together before, some schmuck will buy it from you. So, as a kid, I went out and nailed a light bulb to a piece of wood, (no socket) and actually got it to work (briefly). I never perfected it, but if I had, I bet it would have sold. Anyway, good luck to whoever is selling your original DVD. Dan - no need to beat yourself up over some not working with the format you initially chose. It was a learning experience. And you did everyone right in the end. To be honest, I didn't think the problem lied with your -R/+R format, where some players were able to play it, and some not. I thought it lied with something else having to do with different countries having different formats, and I thought you just happened to use the wrong one of those formats. (This was explained in my DVD owners manual.) I'd like for the 2nd one to work on my computer so I could pull still pics from it, but I that's no big deal. The one we get from Tami and Fred, tho, would be more important for that use, to be able to pull some pics off, like the group shot, or individuals that were shot, for printing. I guess we'll see how that one turns out. |
