I'd certainly be in for a hundred. The standard matchbox colors would be fine for me. I'd love to get the orange if we have an opportunity to mix the order. Of course a POA car would be great too.

Heck, at this rate 20,000 may not be a problem.
I orignally committed to 100, but after thinking probably would go for 500.

I would love for Mattel to do a deal, because in my opinion their cars are fairly realistic and of good quality.

Thanks for all you are doing Al.

If a retailer is needed, I have recentlty opened up a "Pharmacy & Gift Shop," I would be more than happy to be the middle man if they need a resale number or will not sell/ship direct.
Of course I would not charge any mark-up, but i will have to charge tax on the stuff I sell out of the Shop & whatever it costs to ship. The Gift Shop is probably not a far stretch since we are an authorized TY (Beanie Babies) retailer.

thanks
bob

P.S. Unfortunately, I really can't afford to front the $ for the order right now otherwise I would.

Note that I tried "dollarizing" the quantity. It seems that most people are mentally calculating a dollar apiece. Just running the numbers, if a quantity like 20,000 can be had for $5,000, a $100 purchase translates into 400 pieces. Another way to look at it, if 50 people are willing to go for $100 each, that's 20,000 units (not the 5,000 assumed).

Let's all $DOLLARIZE!

That's 25 cents a piece, even with a order of 20K I doubt you could even come close to that. As far as doing a POA car I think you would find it would cost too much, Mattel would have to tool up for it and $5K wouldn't make it.

Mike hasn't chimed in about this so I take it can't be done, if you can get it done for even a $1 a piece I'm in for $200 worth.

At the moment it looks like Matt has something going with Racing Champions, if that happens I'm in on his deal but I'll still take $200 worth of POA Prowler if you can do it.

Al

Well, I have some good and bad news.

Bad news - I have struck out with both Racing Champions and Johnny Lightning. Both can accommodate the quantity (approx 5,000) but both came in around $3.

Good news - I am in contact with someone about trying to get Matchbox cars. They are a less detailed car but I may be able to get the right price point.

I will keep everyone posted as to my progress.

Still working on it. Waiting for some calls back on Matchbox and Maisto. If these don't work I don't know what else to try.
