This morning between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m., about the time that the struggle for Flight 93 was happening on Tuesday, there were a total of 35 airliners that flew over the crash site. Not all at once, but a constant stream of aircraft. All flying at different altitudes and in a westerly direction. There was never a moment when an aircraft was not visible. The Jet contrails were constantly visable from the ground for the entire hour. I just happened to be outside at the time. ------------------ This message has been edited by Dave Mills on 09-15-2001 at 02:25 PM |

The local "oldies" station is reading that commentary by the Canadian writer about twice an hour with some background music. I hope other stations across the country are doing it, also. Did anyone see the picture of the crowds in Germany, England, etc. Pretty impressive display of support. It makes you feel a little better. |

The piece that Larry is referring to is entitled "The Americans" by Byron Macgregor. It is an editorital written by Gordan Sinclair and 1st released in 1973, and re-released in 1991 for the Desert Storm conflict. Byron was a mainstay at CKLW, the Big 8, in Windsor in the 1970s and was "First in the Motor City with 20/20 News" for many years. He put the commentary to music and subsequently sold more than 3 millions copies, all proceeds going to the American Red Cross. Byron received 3 gold records, 1 for each million of the 3 million sold before he died in 1995. Copies are available now from Westbound Records, 248-569-4033, or from GLJS Inc.,P.O. box 880, Novi, MI 48376. Copies are also available from "Harmony House Records" as of 9-17-01. ------------------ |
