"El HEMI" is owned by Juan Escalante, an old friend and neighbor of mine....the car has an amazing history and has just hit the show circuit this week...watch for it in all the magazines soon...it was stored in a junkyard in Venezuela for a long period before returning to the USA....one family car...the car wears a prototype T/A Challenger hood that was given to his dad by Chrysler when the car was new...it was bought in Detroit, driven to Mr. Norms in Chicago for a super tune and shipped overseas shortly thereafter.. sadly, the father who bought the car new didn't live long enough to see the restoration finished....the car isn't totally stock, but restored to the street racing look it wore during it's early days in Detroit...the wheels, hood, Tach etc etc are all parts the car has worn since new...it even has the original Venezuelian plates it wore while there ....it has dynoed at nearly 600HP recently....helluva ride...all paperwork, including every receipt for every speed part ever installed during it's 35 year reign on the streets.... "El HEMI" is back, and back with a vengeance...
