This message has been edited by BeWare on 10-24-2016 at 07:22 PM This message has been edited by ProwlerCar on 10-25-2016 at 10:21 AM thank You. I am doing pretty good for an old guy with a heart condition. I get winded and tired much faster nowadays. I don't like the defibrillator now implanted in my left shoulder, but I realize it's an insurance policy against dying from my heart stopping. Hopefully it never has to go off. The batteries will need to be replaced in 8 to 10 years, however I am told that surgery is less complicated. Other than having HCM I seem to be otherwise healthy. At least according to the doctors. Sunny Day, No rain for weeks, Temp was in the mid 70's, Engine was still on the cool side. The Computer was reset (battery disconnected) less than 100 miles ago. Yes I have G Force Stage 1 Gears Road was very dry (no moisture) but maybe a little greasy due to lack of rain. There is no way to really tell. Yes I still have run flats. Tires were cold at the time. I am on the second set since I purchased the car new in April 1999. I replaced the rears due to tread wear and the fronts simply due to age. The current tires are approx. 7 years old and due to age will need to be replaced again before I take any long road trips. My tire shop says they look fine no sign of dry rot etc. But I want to play it safe. On a side note: Regardless of conditions our Prowler will usually spin the tires from a standing start. I am sure it is due to the Gears increasing rear wheel torque. This message has been edited by BeWare on 10-25-2016 at 04:38 PM Gear Ratios Rear End 3.56 Overall Transaxle & Rear End 3.89 (Standard) Overall Top Gear(4th) 2.68 (Standard) G-Force Stage-II Performance Gears have been released. Stage-II gears provide a 24% change in final drive ratio. (27% on previous gear sets) For 1/4 mile runs, this means your car will NOT want to shift out of 3rd until farther down the track. This message has been edited by Michael T on 10-30-2016 at 01:43 PM This message has been edited by BeWare on 10-30-2016 at 05:06 PM Burnouts - how do you do this with your Prowler? BeWare Took the Prowler out today. As I left the sub division there is a slight incline at the stop sign. I decided to punch it. She really started spinning and kicked sideways. I looked at the side view and saw billows of smoke coming off the tires. I could even smell the burning rubber. I have spun the tires many times before but this was a whole new experience. There was no tire squeal, just spinning and smoking. Loved it. I need to go back and see how far up the road she spun the tires. It seemed like a long ways. For anyone not familiar with our Prowler it does have gears. SuperKat Very cool. I'd like to see that

Other improvements include reduced chain backlash and increased strength.
http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum6/HTML/001464.html dbudner The older the run flats the better the burn out. I couldn't go anywhere with out lighting them up the last few years. The non run flats I just had put on smoked even more the first few weeks. They seem to grip better now but I can still smoke them. Grabbing second isn't a given anymore though. Largent That's what I was getting at - the runflats are harder (especially as old as they are today) and easier to burn out.
I haven't really tried just flooring it or some sort of power braking to burn out from a stand still.
I have tried getting my new Falkens to chirp going into second - but no luck yet....JeraneW Never "smoked" my tires. I guess I missed something. Michael T quote:

If that makes me lame I'll wear it as a badge of honor like my deplorable Trump support. m Largent We now return to our regularly scheduled topic...
The rest of us wanna have fun too!BeWare If all else fails, try revving up to around 2000 rpm while holding your foot on the brake. Then let off.
